Nice, small Italian restaurant. Friendly staff and good food so we will return. We had pork medallions and homemade gelato for dessert. Both excellent.

Great pizza for you new York ers. A must stop if having a stay. Quick and efficient service.

It is a struggle to put it mildly. It starts out ok.
«Do you have something for 3?»
«No, we are booked out for the eve»
«OK thanks»
Your mood changes from amiable to hangry (hungry and cranky) pretty quickly as restaurant after restaurant turns you away.
«I’ll give you my first born if you give me a table for 3… well, 2 if you want him straight away»
«sorry sir, we don’t have anywhere to keep him»
Desperation drives us up a hill and into the last chance saloon; il Vulcano.
It is quiet and a bit dated looking, the menu is Italian, the staff at the door friendly.
They have space, lots in fact, which was a bit worrying given how busy everywhere else was, but we were hungry so we gratefully took the proffered table.
We plumbed for the early bird, 20 euro a head. We had steak, lasagne and chicken. It was all excellent and voluminous, huge portions in fact.
All in all, a really pleasant experience, not fine dining by any stretch, but good and value for money was incredible.

I can highly recommend their pizza margerita for ca. 9 €. Perhaps because it’s been ages since I had a pizza with such tasty and nicely melted cheese on it.
