Barry Mary Public House

A great pub and restaurant situated just outside Kilmore Quay fishing village. This place has a great reputation for its food and as a result it is wise to book. We booked three weeks in advance!
The dining area is large with two seated sections close by to the kitchen with the pub and bar area in the front.
The restaurant has a warm and cosy feel to it, with plenty of staff on hand. The bar area is particularly cosy with a log fire to boot.
The menu is vast and they have a specials board with fresh fish dishes and starters. They serve good hearty homemade meals here and big portions are given. I decided to order the lasagna with chips and salad and I’m glad that I did. The lasagna was lovely and cheesy and the chips crispy not soggy — very important!
The waiter service is great — ensuring they check on you every now and again to make sure you have everything you need. They are geared up for catering for large parties at the restaurant and a large party of about 30 were dining in the same room as us and they seemed to cope very well.
I was too stuffed for dessert but that didn’t stop me looking at the menu. Traditional puddings such as Apple pie and sticky toffee pudding were on offer — lovely jubbly.
There is parking on site too which is very handy.
A place to return too for sure.

Finest pub in this town in Wexford, great live music, especially when point black get the crowd in. This atmosphere is electric! Better food than most restaurants in the region.
