The hotel itself wasn’t so bad; a bit dated. The staff I found to be less than friendly and always seemed bothered by questions. They would give you the look as though you’re an idiot for asking questions about a land and city you’re unfamiliar with.

The staff was helpful in planning our day in Dublin. The hotel seemed modern and newly renovated. The rooms were spacious and comfortable with everything we needed. Wifi was free and speedy. The hotel also offers pretty good rates for the spa for people staying there.

I headed with my family to the restaurant in the Regency Hotel, here in Drumcondra. Its situated in a nice area. I never knew the name of the restaurant. Although my Dad paid, We were treated to a 3 course for 18.95 per person. It ain’t too bad considering. I had a LOVELY Salad. That was the best of the lot. It consisted of, pasta, couscous, coleslaw, potato salad. It was absolutely scrumptious. Then I had Penne Pasta with Tossed Vegetables. I wasn’t the best of it to be honest. There was hardly any pasta. More Vegetable. Very crunchy. Then I had the last course: Dessert. Again labels was a failure here. I got two lovely desserts. And a fruit cocktail as I would call it. heheheh. The chocolate aspect of the dessert, was very strong as in Dark Chocolate. heeheh.

It’s a nice hotel from the outside. One you come in the lobby is modern but classic. But the lounge is old to much paint layer over layer and it has not been vacuumed in a willed. The elevator are a bit shaky. On the hallway the carpet is old and needs to ether fix or get a new one the rooms are small but nice except for there is no insulation, the handyman needs to back to school to learn how to paint, carpentry, tile laying and how to fix a bathroom wow. They said the new addition is nice and better look

Got hotel through — hoped for a nice room. Ended up in the ‘old’ part of hotel. Asked for TV remote at desk because room phone didn’t work. Went back an hour later to ask again. Staff shrugged their shoulders. The ceiling in our room had crumbling paint work and bed is not very comfortable. Wifi is poor in our room. Woken at 2am by a fan outside our window with a high pitch sound, now I understand what Tinitus sounds like. I couldn’t sleep, so I went to the lobby and found the cast of ‘My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding’ there singing loudly while others were passed out on receiption sofas. A very poor hotel

The hotel is a bit odd. The lobby and bar area is nice but with 5 floors in the hotel they have an elevator that runs only to the 4th floor. If you’re on the 5th floor, like we were, you take the elevator to the 4th floor, go down a hallway, through a door to another hallway, and up a stairwell to the 5th floor. The carpets throughout the hallways were all dirty. The room was decent. The wifi in the rooms was VERY weak. I wouldn’t stay here again.

This hotel located 6 km from Dublin Airport and the City Centre, The Regency Hotel is for both the business and leisure travellers too. The staff were very nice and tried to be helpful. I wasnt that to keen on the no air conditioner situation, I had to had to leave the windows open for air to flow and come in to my room. I would have to say the pub was ok and the seasons restaurant was exceptional, as I found the food to be a bit on the dry and blend side. I could hear alot noise from the street, which did keep me up most of the night. The price of the hotel was good, I think I would stay here again if I really had too.
