Poggio Hotel

ll the rooms down on the seaside of Arenzano are full, take a drive inland only ¼ mile or so to the Hotel Il Poggio where you will find a welcome surprise.
On the outside, it does look a little underwhelming. Driving up to entryway, it quickly lightens up. A beautiful modem lobby, adjacent enclosed pool and reception.
Rooms are spacious, very clean and comfortable. I love the firm beds!
A welcoming staff (patient with my dialect of Italian), was there to help and answer questions about the area.
Adjacent (and really part of the lobby) is an enclosed pool with window walls that slide open for warm, sunny weather. Quite a nice arrangement and tastfully designed.
Breakfast (included) the next morning was great. Plenty of choices of pastries, breads, yogurts, fruits, cheese and cold meats. Coffee and fresh juices served.
