Aviano is a small village lost in the middle of nowhere where the USA has settled a military base. However, this kind of breweries gathers a lot of people and makes this town a little bit more alive !
First of all, you always need to book by phone in order to get a table. Then, you must know that this place is always crowded and that you can’t even hear yourself speaking. Indeed, the music is really loud. In other words, you must appreciate this atmosphere, specific to the BEFeD.
Besides, there are those peanuts all over the place, mostly on the ground. Indeed, it is a habit to take a handful of those at the entrance and eat them before ordering.
The staff is really kind and they are mostly young. They work fast and understand fast.
Eventually, if you think about going there, the dish you must choose is the Galletto Vallespluga. It is a spicy half a chicken served with french fries on top of grilled bread and tartar sauce. It is really tasty. Take note that you don’t receive any cutlery, that is part of the game !

They serve chicken and do it well! It’s seasoned and grilled in a rotisserie. Served hot and delicious! They make their own beer too, the red is better in my opinion. The grilled vegetables are great too! Casual laid back type of place to enjoy some food.

We went here on a Friday night for dinner around 8PM. It was pretty busy so the waitress was kind of in a hurry. It’s understandable considering this is a brewery/​pub style restaurant. The menu is short and sweet. My hubby and I got the BeFed (pronounced Buhfed) chicken. The chicken is so fresh and HOT! I hate cold food so this was a plus. The flavor was very complimenting and overall was a good way to fill the tummy.

When in Aviano this is a typical destination for Americans and their guests, but its more about the thought of comfort food than good food. The business is always busy, so if you plan to go, go early. And if your with a large group, plan ahead.
The menu is very small, but most guests are there for the chicken, fries and special sauce. The chicken is usually dry and very salty, but since the place is a brewery they have some of the best local brews in the area.
Fun place to have a few beers and some laughs with friends.

We decided to go here while on vacation after it was recommended highly from the nearby Military base.
Their menu is kind of small but we both got the BeFed chicken. They don’t give you a fork to eat this particular meal with, but they have pastas so I’m sure they have utensils in the building.
The chicken is a small whole chicken (I posted pics), that comes with fries, a slice of toast, and their own homemade sauce. I also tried a small glass of their blonde beer.
The chicken was so hot and fresh, we had to wait about 5 minutes until we ate it. The seasonings on the chicken was superb. The fries were super hot, and very tasty. The toast complimented the chicken, and the sauce was very good also. I used it for my chicken and fries! The blonde beer was so light and refeshing.
The ambience of the restaurant is nice. We sat outside on their patio, and had a view of the mountains. They have a playground in front for kids, with a picnic table also. They have a place where you can stand and eat peanuts, and throw the shells on the floor. They also have a window to look through the kitchen at how the chicken is roasted.
So after this amazing review, why do I only give them a 3 do you ask? Because of the service. We walked in and all the employees were just hanging around the bar, looking at us and speaking italian. Our server sat us, and returned a few minutes later to take our order. We were the only people in the restaurant because they had just opened. She never returned. A man brought our food to us. We had to get up and go into the restaurant for condiments, and we never got refills. We also had to go back in the restaurant to get our check and pay. So the only time someone came out to us is to take our order, and bring our food! Unexceptable. You can have a nice looking establishment, with great food and drinks, but without customer service you have nothing.
