Loved this place! Huge variety of dishes to choose from, and lots of meat dishes, too. Not much seafood or fish, but hey they make it up in pasta and everything else! Service is so friendly and efficient. We had our hotel reserve a table for us, when we arrived there was a huge line of people waiting but they had committed to keeping a table waiting for us instead of having us wait in line for the next available table(doesn’t happen in many places). We ordered the carpaccio(soooo good with a dash of balsamic vinegar), the prosciutto with mozarella and tagliatelle with ragu and pasta with ham and porcini — all so yummy indeed! Do not miss out trying this place of u r in Bologna!

Went here after the great reviews on Unilocal.I studied in Bologna quite a few years ago so it holds a special place in my heart and so was excited to come back on a trip and taste a few places I didn’t previously. The food was fine, nothing crazy spectacular but very good(almost all food in Bologna is delicious) but my issue came with the service. Again, I studied here and remember everything fondly, and also remember the service isn’t american service(which I appreciate). Its«let me know if you need anything, otherwise we’ll leave you alone). So as we are enjoying a great meal, topping it off with some fruit as dessert, the waiter comes over and tells us the next party is here and we have to leave. EXCUSEME?! First of all, of all the people in the restaurant we were the ones who were there the least amount of time so if you really are looking to kick someone out, kick out someone who’s been there longer than we have been! And just in general, SUPERRUDE. I am leaving this as a complaint to the restaurant and warning to everyone visiting! The food was NOTWORTH the temperament!

The food was acceptable and location convenient to our Airbnb. We had al brodo, lasagne bolognese, and gnocchi, followed by marginal tiramisu. Much better laces to eat in Bologna, but not bad if you’re in the vicinity.

Me and my wife went here for lunch after finding it on Unilocal. We we’re the first guests to arrive when they opened. It’s very nice place with seating in and outside and since the weather was nice we chose to sit outside. The staff was friendly and we ordered bresaola for antipasti to share and it was delicious. For mains we both had beef that was cooked and seasoned to perfection. I had a medium rare cooked filet from the grill that was so tender it literally melted in my mouth. My wife had the beef cooked with rosemary and salt which tasted great. To the meat we had som boiled and grilled vegetables. All in all a great place for meat if you’re in Bologna for a visit!

This! Authentic Italian food. I had roast rabbit with grilled vegetables, which was lovely. Came with a rich broth that made everything even more savory. My father had wild boar in tomato sauce, that was also great. This is the place to try new things, and to experience real Italian cuisine. I’m sure their pasta is awesome, but that just looked boring compared to their secondi dishes.

What is a trattoria? A place of sustenance in the purist sense, but a second home a way from home. When traveling in Italy especially. Shhh this place is a secret, but it needs to be known how satisfying the food and service is. In the fair city of Bologna there are multiple choices. But how many trattorias are so pure and satisfying? Our meal… 1. anti pasta– Culatello. Sliced prosciutto from the heart of the ham, meltingly soft with porky goodness. 2. Ravolini with mortadella & pistachios. Green pasta wrapped half moon pillows, oozing with flavor. 3. Spinach gnocchi with Gorgonzola sauce with walnuts– amazing green nuggets of soft heavenly texture offset by the crunch of walnuts.(My son’s dish) 4. Wine– Emilia Romagna San Giovese– Avi reserva — very reasonable at 18 euros and fantastic with the dinner. Our waiter was kind and attentive providing great service. Then the finale– vedura misto– fried zucchini sticks with another helping of meat sliced to perfection: Mortadella, prosciutto, with parmigiano reggiano chunks. Sooooo Good! Go — Eat– Enjoy

My new favorite restaurant in Bologna! I wanted to go here on my last visit, but the restaurant was already full — so I felt very lucky this visit, when I was able to walk-in w/o a reservation. First of all, this was place was literally right across the small street from my AirBnB, so… very convenient. But it’s also close to the main part of town too. Great location. Being that I just«walked in» for dinner, I must have caught them on a slower Tuesday summer night. Most people were dining outside, but I opted for a cooler table inside. There were even a few other tables still open inside.(Maybe too because I was eating closer to closing time?) But I opted for the traditional Tortellini al Brado and the Marscapone dessert w cake. Completely wow’d by both — — it was an excellent, excellent start to my trip! First time that I’ve had«real» Tortellini — — it was amazing. And the marscapone w the cake was even better than really good tiramisu. Service was very friendly, and efficient. I will definitely go back to dine here on future trips.

Gute und einfache Küche! Man fragt sich, wie so simple Gerichte so gut schmeken können. Vor allem am Abend sehr gut besucht! Uns hat es gut gefallen und auch die hausgemachten Desserts waren top! Definitiv empfehlenswert.

The menu at Dal Biassanot is diverse with a variety of pastas, vegetables, and savory meat dishes. Don’t know what to wear? The atmosphere is slightly chic with pristine cutlery and wine glasses, but altogether familial in the restaurant’s interior. When it comes to the food, the Homemade Pasta with Prosciutto and Asparagus is a colorful dish with noodles bearing resemblance to candies, while the Wild Boar and Polenta has you licking the plate clean. Dal Biassanot can become busy during the evening, so if you want to be sure to snag a table, go during the calm afternoon.

My companion and I were looking for a place to eat dinner one night in Bologna, and we stumbled across this place while walking around the historic centre. They open from 7PM, and we were fortunate that they had an open table for two. The menu was not extensive; there were just a few items per category. But they did those very well. I had a vegetarian dinner that night, ordering the Vegetable Antipasti(each item was very flavorful), and the Bufala with Porcini, which was also a blast. I recommend eating here if you are in Bologna; the restaurant is in a quiet side street, and there are curtains hiding the interior from the street, but the inside is definitely a magical experience.

Amazing is the first word that comes to mind. My wife and I sat outside, the weather was perfect and it complemented the beautiful outside seating. My wife ordered the ravioli with lemon and I had the wild boar with polenta. Everything was perfectly cooked and the service was just as good. If you are in Bologna, it is a must try. It’s only five minutes north of piazza Maggiore and much better then the over priced tourist traps near the center. Enjoy, you will thank me!

I thoroughly enjoyed my meal here! First off, their basket of breads and crackers have a nice variety to start you out with. Nothing to write home about, but still nice. My wife ordered the home-made pasta with prosciutto and asparagus. Her dish was probably my favorite. The pasta was thick and twisted, making for a somewhat chewy but tender texture — exactly what I love about home-made pasta. The flavors were delicious, too — especially with the prosciutto. I ordered ravioli, which also had a nice pasta texture, but wasn’t nearly as good as my wife’s first dish. For my second course, I had the Wild Boar with Polenta, which was also very delicious. The meat was fall-apart and tender, with a perfect sauce to complement. The polenta was partly fried, so it was in a clump. It was an interesting way of presenting polenta, but I actually enjoyed it! The service was not bad — they got the job done, especially when the restaurant started getting busier. This is definitely a restaurant I would revisit if I’m ever back in Bologna.
