This is an amazing place. The owner/host is a nut and a sweetheart. He loves it when people love food. There are two menus. One is traditional, the other innovative. We went with the latter and no regrets. Only regret is that we have to leave and can’t go back to try the standard items. The salumi plate is of meats made by dad, in house and is the best we’ve had in Italy. And it was generous. The owner helped with a perfect wine selection and explained all the dishes in detail in English with zero condescension. He wouldn’t let us order until he’d explained them all. With antipasto, 2 special primi and a shared secundo plus water, wine and 2 desserts and a glass of moscato, the bill was under € 40 each.
