Casale Pié d’Eco

Been there once, so this review might not be entirely objective but I must confess I was so positively impressed I decided to go ahead and write a review right away.
Location is quite, peaceful and beautiful. It’s in the countryside of Calvanico, at a relatively high altitude so air is slightly thinner and during summerting it’s pleasantly cooler than the surrounding area.
Even though menu choice is non existent (reason why I’m giving 4 stars and not 5), the overall experience is amazingly good, as food quality.
This place is family owned and operated, and you can totally see that: there’s absolutely no «corporational» attitude anywhere. Everything is slow, peaceful: service is «old style» with nice people serving you whatever they have available that day (or whatever you’ve requested upfront: yeah, it’s strongly recommended to call to make a reservation few days in advance).
It seems a perfect place for kids, family and small/​medium sized groups.
Probably the best way to understand what kind of place this is, is to check the pictures, make a reservation and go.
Honestly, I’m seldom impressed by this trend of «farmhouses» everywhere in Italy but, hey, this is totally legit and lovely.
They also provide few rooms to stay overnight but I didn’t experience them, yet: I’ll update this review whenever that’ll happen.
