Not that close to the train station. I had to walk on horrible streets with my luggage with horrible drivers nearly running me over. Akward check in(inside a bar lounge) with way too many people crowded at the entrance. I had a call a local friend and my translator/hotel booker to help me find the check in place because the map showed I was at the correct place but who in the hell would’ve thought it was in a friggen bar?!! Anyway my translator and friend luckily live nearby so they accompanied me indide to check in. I was taken then by the bartender down the street about two stores down to a residential apartment building, went through about four fleets of stairs before getting to a very tiny elevator. Went inside the room, decent decorations and moderate space. I asked the bartender if there was a safe but he seemed clueless about anything. I go to take a shower and the shower head seems loose or broken not sure but not enough pressure because of a leak coming from somewhere. The towels, dear lord were stiff like paper mache, I suppose they are hand washed?! Horrible… I was super cold and I tried using the control to turn on the heater but to my surprise… The device didn’t work, and so therefore I slept in the cold, atleast they had a cheap ikea down comforter. I have a habit of checking the mini fridge to make sure everything in the bar list is in the fridge(I’ve had those bad experiences where I was charged from missing items that were never in the mini fridge but we’re on the list etc) so I just made a self quick note to let the staff know just in case that there were like 8 items missing from the mini fridge that I did not consume so I would not get charged. They had two yummy looking chocolates on a tray as a compliment for the room, I had one it was expired old I spit it out and didn’t eat the other one. Disgusting … I went out for a quick outing and it seems relatively close to a lot of things but really not much to do in that tiny town. Morning after I got picked up and told my translator to specifically order no one to enter my room for cleaning because I left all my belongings on the bed and they literally took everything off the bed so they could make my bed. They moved around my belongings which irks me because I have major ocd, I like my stuff where I leave it I don’t like people handle ing my belongings. Plus, There wasn’t a safe to keep my expensive items, concealed weapons(as I am a bodyguard) nor my personal belongings such as my passport and credentials. Oh which reminds me at check in the bartender asked for my ID and said I could retrieve it the morning after, I’m like um no! Why would I leave my credentials with him and nonetheless overnight?! So the guy said ok no problem and he literally took a picture of my id with his phone camera! um who does that?! They need a better check in system! Ok now my second night, I couldn’t sleep, something about that bed, come to find out its two single beds put together to make it a bigger bed, super uncomfortable. The street noise, the walls super thin, I could hear noise from the other rooms and who the hell watches tv that loud at 4am? Woke me up and I had a hard time falling asleep. Next day to check out, exited the building, down the elevator, down four fleets of stairs with heavy bags it’s not ideal, went to the bar for coffee and i suppose the room manager starts talking to my translator complaining that I was not allowed to have any guests in my room visiting or and that he was going to charge me for the guest(my translator) which was outright ridiculous, he said that I didn’t book the room right that if I were to have a guest I need to book for the guest and pay for them etc. he said he monitored so he saw when we we went to the room when we left, creepy guy probably has hidden cameras inside the bedroom. I wouldn’t be surprised! CRAZY! He was Standing there argueing with her like a scumbag, so unprofessional and tried to be slick to rip me off. I reminded my translator to let the person know of the missing items so I wouldn’t be charged and he got offended and immediately claimed verbatim«The bartender fully stocked it when you went to the room the first night», I’m no sir, I checked in really late around 10:45 pm and this bartender who couldn’t even go up the stairs himself took me to the room and quickly left do he could continue his bar tending. so Obviously they are one of those that like to screw people over with the minibar items, my translator showed him the pictures I took and then he said«oh well we don’t fully stock the fridge we place some of the items from the list and then when the guest checks out they tell us what they consume and we charge them at that moment». Yeahhhhh right… change your story, sneaky!!! Lucky for me I had a local from there which was my translator who could defend me…
