Great location. Very good granite and brioche, but the cream is just whipped cream from a spray can. Canolo is a little sweet for my liking here.

I’m a bit embarrassed to admit that I sampled six cannolis from different shops in Catania in one day… However this gives me confidence to share that the cannolis here are the best in town! Pretty shop, friendly staff. I will likely go back for another one(or two) tomorrow :) Eat at the counter to save 0,60 € per cannoli… When you eat six it adds up.

During our trip to Catania, we were advised by our bed and breakfast host to go here for the typical Sicilian breakfast: granita and brioche. This place has really one of the best in the whole of Catania! I have to say, it was a first for me to combine cold ice-cream with a warm brioche in the morning as breakfast, but I got used to it very quickly :) Located on the main street through the center, it is a great place to just start your day in the morning :)

Das Prestipino ist gleich an Domplatz, ein phantastischer Laden. Die Auswahl an süßen und pikanten Schleckereien ist gewaltig. Wir waren hier im Jänner und konnten noch sehr gut draußen sitzen. Der Café kann sich auch sehen lassen bzw. schmecken lassen. Kann ich mit gutem Gewissen empfehlen. Der Preis hält sich auch in Grenzen, (6 Cappuccino und 3 Törtchen = 22 Euro) man darf sich von der vornehmen Fassade nicht abschrecken lassen. Gratis Wlan gibts noch oben drauf.
