I’ll start by saying that I’m not a picky eater, and always go into a restaurant with an open mind and am usually satisfied. Not the case for this place… After 30 minutes of looking for the a sit down pizza place, we stopped here because we 1. We’re tired of looking and 2. It had many pizza options. It is very unfortunate that we ended up here because it was awful — I wish we had wifi to read the reviews first because they were accurate. Food: We ordered a pizza and a calzone. Both were insanely watery to the point of not being able to eat them. The pizza… When you cut into it, a puddle of water was waiting in the middle of the plate. It was so soggy that you couldn’t pick up a piece without the whole thing just flopping down. The only edible part was the crust plus 1 inch down, otherwise you were eating soggy bread with minimal sauce, cheese and toppings. The calzone… Also watery when you cut into it, which made the whole bottom crust/bread soggy and difficult to eat. We ended up peeling off the top and forking the toppings onto that crust. Where did all the water come from? We still can’t figure it out. The 1 star is for the wine — my sister had a glass of the house wine and really enjoyed it. And price, luckily we only paid 25 euro for 2 people, which included a 2 euro per person cover charge. Bathroom wasn’t clean, faucet didn’t work. Overall, if you want pizza, avoid.

A definite tourist spot because it’s near the duomo but we actually had our favorite meals in Firenze here and it isn’t very expensive. Again, menus were in multiple languages which my Italian professor says to avoid but I really liked the view. It’s not right in the piazza but it’s gives a little glimpse of the duomo. Service…not so good, we had to hunt someone down to bring the check after just waiting for 30 minutes. But they were friendly and I had the best linguine and clams here.

This place is clearly designed for American tourists, but it doesn’t mean it was a bad spot. They have a wide variety of pizzas with a number of different toppings and a large menu for pastas. They had a very large menu in general. The pizzas came a little watery, but still were tasty. It wasn’t the best pizza I’ve had, but it wasn’t horrible either. If you’re looking for something familar, this might be a good spot for you. I believe there was a cover charge for this place. I think it was two euros a person.

We stopped in here for the cheep Pizza and beer special. I wish we had spent a few more Euro & chosen another spot. The pizza was actually watery. Just no flavor. Some of their other items may be OK — but we only tried the cheese pizza.

This restaurant obviously tries to cater to Americans. The prices are cheap, and they offer things that other Italian restaurants do not… such as meat sauce. Americans wanting cheap food will like it, but the taste isn’t that great. This is also one of the first and few places I went to in Italy that encourages tipping.
