Hotel Basilea

Not worth it. If you have another option, try not to stay here. My family booked 2 standard rooms only to find out when we checked in that 1 of the rooms was more like a junior room. You have to turn sideways to get in. There’s about 6 inches of spaces between the close & the bed. The room is small the bathroom is via a separate entrance across the hall. The tv is mounted on a shelf on the wall. The moment we walked in, we can smell a staleness to the air. Only when we asked the hotel staff about the room did they admit they didn’t have another standard room that night, but we will be moved to it the next day. However, we were still charged a standard room rate. This is deceptive business practices in my view. Another point, the bathroom did not as clean as can be. This hotel is about a half step above Motel 6. Yet based on the city tax, it is suppose to be a 4-​star hotel. I think not. Will not come back anymore.
