Wonderful lunch here today. Fresh, organic ingredients but not over-the-top(read boring) «healthy.» Small but very nice menu of updated classics. Warm, casual atmosphere. Nice wines. Recommended.

I am removing or revising my last review because I made a terrible mistake in confusing two restaurants with similar names. This significant error was made the last time I visited Florence seven months ago and I had not known about it until today(11-21-2015). I will not only visit your restaurant again but will apologize in person to both the owner and the chef. The name of the other restaurant for whom this review was meant is Hostaria Il Desco on Via Delle Terme. Suffice to say that I and my guest will never visit there again.

We really enjoyed the fresh, gluten-free food at this little bistro with street seating(with sprayers for the hot weather). The lasagna, made with GF crepes instead of pasta, was light and tasty. The stuffed rabbit was delicious. We really enjoyed our bottle of Vernaccia wine. Prices were reasonable and the service was excellent. HIghly recommend!

Looking for a light lunch, we stopped in here after seeing The David. I had the spinach, pear, pine nut salad and the ratatouille. Both were fresh and well seasoned, and the vegetables were particularly tender and yet still crisp. My boyfriend had the meat lasagna, which he said was particularly tasty but lacked tomato sauce(as American lasagna traditionally has). We sat outside, but could probably have done without dust from the traffic. The waiters spoke enough English to explain the menu and recommend a good wine.

Previous reviews are spot on! Super accommodating staff and service. The food is absolutely delicious, fresh, and comprised of very flavorful recipes. With being pregnant, it can be difficult finding things on a menu that comply with the never-ending American list of avoidable foods; however, the staff was very knowledgable about their ingredients and were kind in making recommendations for alternatives to certain parts of the menu items without making you feel bad about altering the dish. It’s a welcomed break from more traditional Italian cuisine. This place will not disappoint.

Amazing! The menu is not extensive and that’s a good thing. The food is fresh and organic from farm to table. The staff is friendly, attentive and willing to give you their recommendations. It was my favorite restaurant in Florence and was very disappointed I found it on my last day. It’s around the corner from seeing Michaelangelo’s David so stop by afterwards. They’re are only open April to November I guess to accommodate the farming season.

Federico treated us like VIP. He was very cheerful, attentive and had such a positive vibe about him. He was like the Jack of All Trades because he made our food and he was also our server. I really like how they are conveniently located right next to the hotel Il Guelfo Bianco(I will review this awesome hotel shortly). I was also told that this restaurant uses only organic ingredients and you can definitely taste the quality of the ingredients that they use for their dishes. Lasagna with white meats ragu: the best white lasagna I have ever tasted! We ate this almost everyday during our stay at the hotel because we loved it so much. We also enjoyed the platter of prosciutto and other cured meats and specialty cheeses. I also pretty much drowned myself in their olive oil and balsamic vinegar which they supplied with their bread. I never had anything like that olive oil before. It was amazing. For dessert I had their Parmesan flan which had the perfect smooth texture, almost like a super smooth quiche. I loved the pea purée that surrounded the flan. I never expected peas to complement a flan but theirs certainly did. The place is small and cozy and I love the chill atmosphere here. We definitely will grab lunch here again when we come back to Florence!

This is by far one of my favourite restaurants in Florence. Everything is vegetarian, local and farm fresh. I’d been here about 2 years ago and had the most delicious lunch, so of course I had to come back. My boyfriend and I enjoyed the caprese and panzanella salads, so much that we came back for a second meal. It’s a small bistro with excellent service. Definitely a place I’ll return to again and again!

Small seasonal menu of wonderful organic food in an absolutely beautiful small space. We stopped in for both lunch and dinner(there is no dinner menu, it’s just a bistrot and closes at 8). The owner’s daughter’s boyfriend was on duty and he was absolutely charming and entertainingly but not too talkative. We had fennel and orange salad, ribalitto(bread) soup, a sandwich, a bit of roasted pumpkin, and apple«pie» with pine nuts. the roasted pumpkin was all that was left at the end of the day and was spectacular. simply roasted with some fresh thyme. the apple pie was actually a lovely cake. everything else was excellent. the highlight though was a slice of lightly toasted bread doused in their house-made olive oil that was given to us while we waited for our food. The best olive oil I’ve had in my life — and we left with 3 liter bottles, guess we’ll be checking luggage!
