There are many faces to this Mug coffee/bar: it can either be the perfect place for an afternoon tea or coffee with wifi and some dolce lab sweets(which i have not yet tested unfortunately), or a great place for a drink in the evening. I cannot stress enough how wonderful it is to have the wifi, I really appreciate it, and it is thanks to that a very nice place to work and enjoy some pastries. I like very much the cosy decoration and the cute interior where you feel like hanging out for a while. In the evening, the wine is good and the place looks totally different suddenly. They offer aperitivo of course. It is located in a small street behind Santa Crocce, a rather calm street, far from the crowd, which is sometimes a real relief. And to make it even better, the people working here are really sweet and thoughtful.

The best café in Florence! I go to the art school across the street from Mug so I am a frequently getting coffee and lunch. They have an abundant amount of flavored coffees, teas, muffins, and cupcakes. For lunch you can get a salad, burger, caesar salad wrap and amazing paninis. My favorite panini is fresh salami, pecorino cheese and fig jam, so delicious! The atmosphere is great, you can chat with a friend or sit and study. Most importantly, the staff/owners are one of a kind, such nice people. A must go!

This place is great because the prices are low, the area is convenient and you can work away on your computer without feeling unwelcome. I wish I could say more about the food, but because of certain dietary restrictions I couldn’t find one suitable breakfast item the day I went. Instead I had a hot tea from there long menu of tea selections. From what I saw as I was leaving, the lunch options seemed much more inclusive. I will definitely return and try the food.

MUG, Actually I am writing this review while I am here enjoying this bar/caffe/bistro located in the Santa Croce Zona of Florence. A relatively new place, I have been coming here regularly since it has opened. I love the space. A modern /vintage atmosphere, fast free wifi, great coffee, a super friendly staff, you know the kind that goes above and beyond for their clients … something quite rare in Florence. It’s a pretty tranquillo spot, great music that is never played too loud so that you can work in peace. And the icing on the cake … they serve dolce lab cupcakes !!! I have sampled a little bit of everything from this bar. I usually come here for a cupcake and a coffee but i have also had a meal and and drinks. And it is ALL worth coming for. I had a vegetable wrap sandwich that was amazing and they make their own yogurt tzatziki sauce! Also if you are in the mood for an aperitivo i have to recommend the prosecco … the best I have had in Florence, I kid you not. This place has a great, refined selection of alcoholic beverages. They choose the best! You can’t go wrong. I was just informed about a «smoked» japanese whisky they have that sounds amazing and I am not even a big whisky fan, but I can’t wait to try it. this summer i was a regular during the extremely hot days. where this bar was a lifesaver, as i could hide away from the heat inside. Definitely worth coming to whether you are a local or a visitor looking for a tranquil little spot to rest and enjoy a drink.

Do you miss the trendy coffee shop-cafes from home, equipped with eclectic art, free wifi, & a bathroom? Then Mug is definitely worth stopping by. My friends and I happened to be staying at the hostel next door, and as we were deciding what to eat for lunch«Chicken Caesar Wrap» immediately caught my eye. Don’t get me wrong — if you’re just taking a short vacation in Italy, you should really focus on Italian specialties. But we’re in the midst of a study abroad program, so it was nice to have a taste of home(ish). The lady(I think she is the owner) speaks English and was very nice! She assured us that the wraps had just the right amount of dressing, and even suggested we try the spicy one if we wanted. I couldn’t resist — and it was delicious! It also came with sweet corn chips, which looked like Doritos but tasted better. If you’re looking for an Americanesque oasis among a sea of panino joints, this is the place for you!
