Fast, friendly service and great food. Their servings are larger compared to most. I had the seafood salad and there was enough for two, and the seafood was fresh. They even serve American type breakfast from 7 am on.

Great american style breakfast, fresh fruit, free wifi, english speaking staff and the best Latte I’ve had in all of Italy. I definitely recommend this place for breakfast to all the homesick tourists from the USLOL

OK pretty much covers it. The side salad exceeded my expectations, having nice radicchio and other hearty greens. Tagliatelle fell short with hard bits in the pasta and a skimpy amount of eggplant. Pizza was… OK. The toppings seemed high quality but the crust was a bit tough. Coffee was fine. For some reason they didn’t bring water till after the entrees arrived. Maybe they were ticked off that I refused bread(3.50). I wouldn’t avoid but there’s so many other choices far superior.

Aptly named.(A large part of their menu was gnocchi. And they use frozen gnocchi. In Florence. That gets you 2 stars.)

Have a scheduled museum tour for later today so I figured I’d wake up early and grab something to eat. It’s a good 57 degrees outside with a 90% chance of rain by 9AM. It’s rude to discuss the weather this way, huh? Back to why you’re reading this in the first place. So I decided to dine here due to my newfound inclination to review the entirety of Florence before I head back home to California. I had the Big American Breakfast(€ 10) and sadly was rather disappointed. The manner in which the food is presented is aesthetically pleasing and the attentive nature of the staff makes this place highly commendable but the amount of salt present in my meal left me feeling like I should’ve chosen a location that caters to the less extreme palate. Here’s a breakdown of what’s going on: Scrambled eggs: a bit wet but the addition of cheese was pleasantly surprising Sausages: extremely salty Potatoes: tasted processed but considering their shape and color I wasn’t too taken aback by this Toast: nice and crunchy– I slabbed on a bit of butter and voilà my favorite Tomato: warm and was a good palate cleanser post-sodium overload Salad: unseasoned but fresh(also helped balance out the amount of salt on the plate) Mushrooms: bland but cooked just right Bacon: really, really salty I’m hoping to return and try a different dish. Maybe American breakfasts aren’t their forte and I’m in the wrong? Will post an update as soon as I can.

Aw don’t sell yourself short, this place is more than ok! I thoroughly enjoyed my spaghetti with eggplant and shrimp. It was a huge portion but I ate every last bite with no shame. Fantastic local beers, good service, and 10% off with Unilocal check-in!

They were passing out discount coupons at one of the museums, so I thought I would give them a try. Very friendly. A young girl served me and she was very attentive. I had the house red wine and spaghetti with pesto sauce. The proportion was just right and the pesto sauce was the best I’ve ever had. For a house wine(half bottle — € 4), it was as good as any name brand bottled wine. All in all, a great experience. I’ll be back before I leave Firenze.

Conveniently located near the Academia(think statue of David) and the Duomo. We were hungry after a morning of sightseeing and stopped in for a late lunch, expecting mediocre food in this touristy location. What a surprise! Excellent pasta(spaghetti alla puttanesca, spaghetti al pesto), salad, grilled veggies, and ½ liter of very drinkable house wine, all reasonably priced. A nice spot on a busy corner for people watching. We stayed and enjoyed limoncellos after the meal. I see others have reported poor service, but that was not our experience. One of our favorite stops in a two week trip eating and drinking our way through Italy…

Food was good/average however; the service was horrendous. I have worked in the service industry my entire life and so has my husband who is a physician. We have never been treated so poorly. We had to get up 4 times to request more items we were actually paying for. My husband informed the waiter better attitude equals better tips… his reply«I don’t give a shit». We’ve had better service at McDonald’s and Wendy’s.

The host of the apartment we stayed in recommended OK Bar — he said he goes there everyday. Of course we had to try it out since it was native recommend and let me tell you, we were not disappointed! I think we ended up eating lunch or dinner here every day of our stay. The pasta was so fresh! Everything we had was delicious, you really can’t go wrong. And it’s all reasonably priced. If your touring the Duomo or the Academia, be sure to stop in for a delicious bite to eat!

Great food at very reasonable prices. Simple food well done. We ordered a pizza and several pastas and everything came out piping hot. For the 4 of us, the bill was only 31 euros. I wouldn’t make a trek out to this place from far, but it had very nice, neighborhood feel to it. Outdoor seating was very cute. This place was right below the apartment we stayed at and we ate here on our last night; my dad was mad we didn’t start eating here sooner!

I ate this all up. Prices reasonable and food is great. We sat outside to enjoy the great weather and people watch. I had the bolognese spaghetti and ate it all up. The staff were welcoming to tourists, spoke English and had free wifi. I’d come back.

Favorite spot in Florence for great pasta and wine. As a NYer, it’s refreshing that they care so much about House wine in Italy. In NY, this is just not something you order. At OK Bar, it’s excellent. They really care about what they serve. We had a little bit of everything on the menu. Pasta, pizza, appetizers, entrees and everything was so pretty, you had to take a picture of it, and then just devour it. Can’t wait to go back!

Sometimes you plan on a good dining experience, and sometimes you just happen to collapse in front of the right place. We were exhausted from touring around town when we walked past the OK Bar — it’s very unprepossessing — a tiny dining room(supplied by an even tinier kitchen) jammed with people, but the staff couldn’t be more welcoming. They customized a pizza to our son’s peculiar preferences, and served us up a nice lunch that restored our energy and spirits. Would I go out of my way to eat here again? Probably not. But if I were in the area, visiting the Accademia or Santissima Annunziata, I’d definitely come back.

Delizioso! We dropped into OK Bar while waiting for our scheduled tour at Accademia to see the David. It’s located on a busy corner and we were lucky enough to get the last table available for lunch. The staff was friendly, spoke English and they offered an English menu which of course makes ordering easier. Upon walking in, we were hit with the great smells coming from the kitchen which were a great sign. We ordered the ravioli pesto and the penne ragu(which was said to take 5 hours to make) both of which were very good. They also offered us a free desert that was a slice of cake they traditionally eat for Easter. If you’re in the area, be sure to stop by.
