Très bonne adresse. A l’entrée, la serveuse nous présente une partie visible des cuisines ou on peut voir la confection des pâtes, gnocchi etc. Tout est bio. La pâte à pizza est faite avec du blé ce qui donne une texture et un goût très différent des autres, très bon. Les serveurs sont tous très aimables.

Came here last spring, and this has been some the best food I’ve had in Italy. Maybe I was just extra hungry that day but it was so so good. I got the ravioli(with pink sauce). Our waiter was from Rome(where I was living at the time) and was extremely friendly. Loved everything. No wait when we got there, not the fastest service but it wasn’t bad.

The prosciutto and melon appetizer was delicious. I’m so glad I got a chance to try it. I also ordered the shrimp salad with arugula and parmesan cheese for my main dish and that was really good too(so good I didn’t need salad dressing to put on top of it). I tried my friends fresh gnocchi dish and she loved it too. so I guess it’s safe to say. Yellow bar is definitely a «to-go» restaurant. The waitress who served us was super friendly. The service was superb.

My favorite pizzeria in Florence! Upon arrival we were quickly greeted and showed the pasta making area before being seated. The menu is extensive so I asked what pasta they recommended. I went with the taglioni with tomato sauce which was hand made. It was superb! We also ordered a mushroom and olive pizza which I can say was the best pizza I had in the city. Fairly quick and relatively inexpensive. I can’t recommend this place enough!

The inn keeper of our B&B recommended it. The name made us hesitate, but decided to go for it. Great tuscan meal. Simply prepared with fresh with local ingredients, so the flavor of everything shines through. They made fresh pasta right before they cooked and served it to you. We started with Insalata caprese(Salad with mozzerella and cherry tomatoes). Fresh and sweet. No hot house tomatoes here. Then we shared a pasta dish, Paglia E Fieno. It was so… good, I still think about it. The pasta was perfect, the suace was creamy, teasty and delicate. For secondi my husband had scaloppini al limone. I had a mussel and calamari dish made with mussel, chick pea and swiss chard in spicy tomato sauce. Both are deeeeelicious. The staff was very nice and the service speedy. We were there on Saturday night and the locals lined up outside the door! Will definitely come back.

If you are in Florence this place is an absolute MUST. I’ve been studying in Florence for two months now and haven’t been that impressed by the pasta, but I got the spaghetti carbonara here and it was to die for! Loved it! The gnocchi rose is also a really good choice if you’re looking for more flavor. This is definitely my new favorite dinner spot here in Florence!

After a short 10 minute wait on a Thursday evening. We were seated by a nice young waitress. I decided on the house beer while my wife decided on a glass of Chianti. Shortly after getting our drinks the waitress stopped back to take our order. We chose the margarita pizza and added extra garlic. We also went with the organic wheat pasta with a simple fresh tomato sauce. The pizza came out within 3 minutes followed by the pasta in another 3 minutes or so. The pizza was super thin and tasty. The pasta was freshly made in-house and you could tell. Overall this is a great place for delicious fresh pasta and excellent pizza. We highly recommend giving this place a try.

Feels more like a locals place. Everything seemed and tasted more authentic than the other spots we ate. It’s a pretty typical menu of pizzas and pastas but everything was a couple notches above the touristy spots in freshness, ingredients and preparation. After 10 days in Italy, it was our favorite spot for the basics. Atmosphere is fun/hip.

Service: 5⁄5 Food: 5⁄5 So this place is listed under«pizza» but come for the PASTA! This was one of the BESTFRESHPASTA restaurants we ventured to in Italy. The salad was not mind blowing but the PASTAS I repeat were amazing. The first thing that the server actually does when you walk into the restaurant is show you where they HANDMAKE the pastas FRESH! You can really taste it in how«al dente»(chewy) the noodles are. I had the Spaghetti Alla Carbonara and it was by far the best pasta of my life, just the noodles, creamy sauce and bacon all blended together so nicely. My ladyfriend had the Straccetti and she loved it as well. We highly highly recommend Yellow Bar as a pasta place and hope we have the chance to visit them in Florence again! Ciao!

Thank god Unilocal lead me here! Best pasta we had in Italy! Actually came here 2 days in a row because we were so happy with it(= Haha. I expected restaurants in Italy to have only fresh pasta or at least the majority of dishes with fresh pasta, but this wasn’t the case. Finally searched on Unilocal and found this! You must come here if you are in Florence and want amazing pizza and pasta! They have so many fresh pasta choices! FOOD: Paglia e fieno(5 stars): This pink sauce is amazing! This pasta is just amazing. Pasta is cooked well, you can definitely tell it’s fresh, and the ham is not overpowering at all. Get this! Tagliolini panna e prosciutto(4 stars): Pasta is cooked well and the sauce is good! Best white sauce I have had, but I’m more of a pink sauce girl(= Margarita pizza(5 stars): Sauce is so good! Love the olive oil in top. Prosciutto e fungi pizza(5 stars): Liked the margarita a little more but this was still really good. Ask for bread and olive oil! Olive oil in Italy is just so good! Bread in Florence is pretty bland since they don’t salt it, but the olive oil makes everything better. DRINK House white wine(4 stars): Good for a table wine! And hey wine is about the same price as water in Italy so why not! They have other wines like Chianti Classico of course which is always good(= SERVICE(5 stars) Come before 7PM and there’s no wait. After 7 there’s a small wait but it won’t be too long. They are great with customer service. You can tell the owner really cares about his restaurant and the customer experience. If it’s your first time he’ll have you peak in the side room to watch them make the pasta! ATMOSPHERE(5 stars) Clean, pretty big for Italy. Open kitchen so you can watch them cook. Everyone was so friendly! I wish I lived in Florence so I could eat here every week! There were two of us and we shared two pastas and a pizza, and had no leftovers. Just order more than you think, you’ll keep wanting more!

Great food, horrible service. After living here for over three months I’ve been to yellow bar three times always because of the great fresh pasta, never the service. First time we went with a big group and were completely ignored but figured it was just cause we were a large group of Americans. Second time I went service was alright so I figured the first was just a bad day. Tonight I went with three of my friends and was appalled by the service, terrible!!! The waitress knocked a fork off the table and my friend didn’t even have time to pick it up before the waitress slammed a new one on the table and yelled at her, completely unprofessional. Considering most of their customers are tourists you think they’d be more friendly. Would love to recommend this place for the food, but the service was that bad I would never tell a friend to go here.

best for pizza and beer or wine. food is fabulous. homemade pasta is the choice for many. we had pizza and they are as fine as any in Florence. Décor is a bit weird. art deco style and not sure why? I tried to overlook. busy, noisy, casual easy reservations and good for large groups.

Great place. I went with my 5 other American friends on a Sunday evening and got a table easily even though it was crowded. Had to wait 5 minutes tops. We got shown the kitchen where they make the noodles so it’s all authentic! As a group we split the liter of red wine, 12 euros a liter I believe. Two of my friends got the carbonara and it was brought out still in the pan and very hot! We all enjoyed our meals but we all agreed that the carbonara was the best.

Yellow Bar was highly recommended by former study abroaders and quickly became a go-to restaurant for birthdays, girls night out, and visitors. I’ve been for both lunch and dinner and preferred going to Yellow Bar for lunch since it’s not as crowded. When it’s your first visit, they bring you over to a separate room and show you their homemade pasta. I’ve tried their pizzas, salads, and pasta and can say that they are some of the best I’ve had. My go-to pizza is margherita and they make a great one but I highly recommend the gnocchi rose. What I loved about Yellow Bar was their homemade pasta and they made some of the best gnocchi I’ve had. You really can’t go wrong with this dish(it was actually my last meal before I left Florence). Their caprese salad is a must too! Service is fast but as with all true Italian restaurants, they let you take your time eating and enjoying your meal; they definitely don’t rush you here. If you’re visiting Florence, Yellow Bar is a must!

The food here is amazing. When you first visit, you are shown where they make the pasta. I had Ravioli Rose and on another visit Gnocchi Rose. Both were delicious. The pasta was tender and could practically melt in your mouth. It does get busy here because it is so delicious. There was one night(a Tuesday night) that it was so busy that my husband and I were seated with another couple at a table. We were asked if it was ok to do this first, but that was how busy. It did not create a long wait for our food or the service in general which was great. Everyone that we encountered who works here is very friendly and kind. I highly recommend eating here, you won’t be disappointed.

A local Florentine recommended this Yellow Bar as one of his favorite restaurants and said don’t let the name fool you It’s as authentic as it gets. He was right, the food was fantastic! We weren’t even that hungry but ended up having 3 pasta dishes between the 2 of us. The pasta is made in house and you can go take a look at it being made if interested. We had the paglia fieno because the next table ordered it and we had food envy. It was noodly pasta with ham and peas and so delicious it makes me want to cry just thinking about it. Trust me, you must get this dish. Also, I had the spicy spaghetti. The sauce was barely spicy but it was fresh and also a bit sweet & tangy from the freshness of the marinara base. Loved it. Sadly we discovered Yellow Bar on our last night in Florence. Had we known earlier, it would have been worth coming here a few times to try all the different dishes. WAH =(I guess I’ll have to wait until my next trip to Florence. So take my advice, make the trek here. You can thank me later!

My boyfriend and I came here on the suggestion of the pension owner where I was staying. This place was fairly easy to find, and there was a mixture of locals and tourists eating here. The guy who greeted us was quick to show us where the fresh pasta is made. We selected a seat in the back. It was a little warm back there but we wanted a large table. We ordered bruschetta to start. It wasn’t really anything better than I have had before. For dinner I had the paglia e fieno which was amazing! It has ham and mushrooms and a delicious sauce. The noodles were also perfectly cooked. I absolutely wish we had eaten here more than once. Prices are very reasonable. I definitely recommend this place!

This place is a bit confusing because it definitely looks like an American diner while serving true Italian food. I must say that the mix between the two is pretty nice in the end: nice and relaxed atmosphere AND good food — though I will never get used to the gigantic screens with sports on it, even in Italy — it never gets cute. Besides those screens(which you may not even notice), the overall atmosphere is nice and cozy and I loved the place! Service was very friendly. The food was very good as well with the usual choice of primi and some meat dishes. We had two different dishes of pastas, both pretty good. For the folklore, pastas are homemade here and if you look sufficiently tourist-like, they will show it to you; it is an open kitchen on the right. My pastas were full of vegetables: good, good, good. As appetizers, we had Tuscan liver pâté which was delicious(but greasy). And the prices are moderate so I highly recommend having a quick dinner here!

Wir fragten ein paar(schwierig aufzutreibende) Locals auf dem Domvorplatz nach ihrem Lieblingspizzarestaurant und wurden in die Yellow Bar geschickt. Wir kamen leider direkt nach Ende der Mittagessenszeit und schätzungsweise 2 Stunden vor Beginn der Abendessenszeit dort an, sodass wir freundlich wieder weggeschickt wurden und die Zeit erst noch anderweitig überbrücken mussten. Abends ging es dann schnell mit der Platzzuweisung und wir bestellten sehr leckere Pizza und Pasta, die auch sehr zügig kamen. Die Pasta wird hausgemacht, wie wir am Eingang von einer netten Angestellten erläutert und gezeigt(!) bekamen — und das schmeckt man auch. Eine gute Empfehlung für Florenz, wenn man die Touristenfallen vermeiden möchte…

Yellow Bar was an overall average experience that should’ve been forgettable… yet here I am, reviewing it on Unilocal.The best thing about Yellow Bar is the memorable name that stands out from all the other«Ristorantes» and«Trattorias» on the streets. Since there were only two of us, we had to share an eight-person table with four Italians. The place seemed to be very crowded, and we were thankful to be seated so quickly. The service was slower than expected, and it was difficult to get the servers’ attention(we were in a bit of a rush). To start us off, Yellow Bar’s bread was quite tasteless and just not worth eating. We ordered a gnocchi and a funghi pizza. Unfortunately, this was one of the first pastas I got tired of before the end. The funghi pizza was average and a little on the greasy side. Nothing to shout about here, and the prices were decent for the quality.
