Al 91

Good food, big and very thin pizza in a lot of moods
pasta including my preferred recipe: Linguine all’astice (here with additional seafood and gambas !!!

Pizza 91 is the local favourite pizza joint for the group of my friends that live here. I had to try it out right?
We arrived and were ready to order when we were told that it would take 30 minutes or so until our order would be ready because the place was packed. We decided to order a plate of cold cuts and each order a pizza.
The plate of cold cuts looked like a mountain of meat! It was fantastic!!! There was a good mix of salami, mortadella, prosciutto and other cuts of meat.
When our pizzas arrived I could not believe how large they were! The pizza was really good. The only thing I docked a star for and it’s a quick an easy fix is that they only serve thin crust pizza in Milan but sometimes it’s to thin. If the crust was 2 mm thicker it would have been perfect. What happens when pizza is to thin? Imagine cheese, sauce and toppings on a paper towel. It makes a huge difference when the toppings and grease need to be absorbed by something :)
I’d definitely come back though as the food was really good. It was definitely the best pizza I tried in Italy so far.

Bei jedem Mailandbesuch gehe ich mind. einmal in das Restaurant Pizzeria Al91. Warum? Weil es nicht nur gut schmeckt, sondern weil die Bedienung immer gut drauf ist und immer Späßchen macht. Wenn man dort einmal mit schlechter Laune essen geht, verlässt man das 91 garantiert mit Guter.
Ich empfehle allerdings allen die großen Hunger haben, sich eine Pizza zu bestellen, die ist rießig. Die Pastaportionen fallen daher eher klein aus. Man sollte auch nicht zu spät dort essen gehen, da es immer sehr voll ist!
