On to some shopping… always along Corso Buenos Aires, there are the side streets. In Via Pergolesi, there is a shop that specializes in THUN ceramics and giftware( ). It is an Italuan company with its roots in northern Italy. I originally discovered this company 7 years ago during my stay in Trento, Italy. In any case, the ceramics and giftware are very nice, as well as sweet depending on the theme and if for the kitchen, an adornment for a little corner, or someone special. This is a small shop that exclusively sells THUN that I came across and found two perfect gifts for a friend and colleague. It is a perfect place/gift that is «Italian» without being a «souvenir» and yet, because you cannot find this outside of Italy(though they now have a few places in Northern Europe). It is something happily uncommon. My score is for the THUN as much as the shop. The woman who owns it(Antonietta Teora– yes, this is how businesses are registered in Italy and therefore on the receipt you will see the name of the owner) is very nice and was kind enough to answer a few questions as well. On top of it, she was extra kind and gave me a cloth shopping bag(though I only purchased 2 small, non big ticket items) as she was happy to have met us, from Canada, and one being an Italian speaking one no less to ask questions about Canada and the Rockies :-)
