B Café is a prime example of why overplanning kills magic. I was on my way to another restaurant down the street from B Café and to my luck or unluck, it was closed. At the time I was rather disappointed, since we had trekked all the way to this area. We had passed by B Café and heard live music so decided to take a pit stop to grab a drink(aperitivo) and regroup. I’m glad things had worked out how they did, because this place was AWESOME! It was a quaint little unpretentious bar full of locals. Two gentlemen, one on an acoustic guitar the other on a trumpet, were playing fun upbeat jazz classics. It was a Friday evening, so I’m can’t say if this is a norm for them everyday. The menu overall was super doable. Cocktails were around € 7 euro and small bites under € 10. Having only wanted to get drinks to pacify this damsel in distress(aka me), my bf and I had both ordered a round of Moscow Mules. But out of nowhere, we were given a platter of small bites(12 pieces), crostinis with proscuitto, brie, and olive paste. Having thoroughly enjoyed the first set of drinks and music, we had ordered around round of Moscow Mules, and again, out came another platter of crostinis, this time with sundried tomatoes, artichokes, and arugula. All of the small bites were FREE. To Italians I guess one would call this stuzzichini? But I would have easily paid for the quality of their food. And it’s not like we had ordered an obscene amount of alcohol that they would give the amount food that was delivered to us. This wasn’t your normal stuzzichini of chips, olives, and cold quiches. Each party/group had their own little twist of food served to them as well. Great ambiance, great food and great prices. This place cannot be missed!
