Brera is a beautiful neighbourhood to walk through but this bar is nothing special. We went for late night gin and tonics here. The staff was ok but not very friendly. The bathrooms were too dirty to use. The drinks were nothing special and € 8,00 each. I suppose this place has a great location and the drinks are fairly priced for the area but I wouldn’t come back here.

Came here for an aperitivo, which was only 8 euros! Pros: — The buffet for the aperitivo was great — a larger assortment and they replenish it pretty quickly — Very close to the Castle — Love the atmosphere — extremely charming and relaxing — Multiple small tables outside and a couple inside the restaurant(some of the outdoor tables are wobbly due to the cobbled streets so just switch to another one) Cons: — Service isn’t the greatest even though we went at a non crowded time

First night in Milano, after a long walk, starving, we stopted at the Bar Brera to test the aperitivo. The waitress said it wasn’t over, nethertheless we could enjoy it only fifteen minutes … Bad for us ! Moreover the buffet was reduce and food seems to be cheap and bad quality. Good point: my cocktail with prosecco and strawberry was good and not so expensive(8 €). I recomande you to try an over place if you want to have a better experience than mine.

Top mentioned bar in the Brera area so I had to check it our for myself. I came in around noon for some cappuccinos and paninis. Let’s just say crowded is an understatement. Luckily, I snagged a table for 3 indoors since it was raining out. There are about 5 – 6 small tables inside so it can get cramped quickly. The waitresses were running around almost hitting people on the head with food orders. The service lacked big time, but it was clearly because they were overwhelmed. The cappuccino and sandwiches were OK but the overall ambiance was too busy and full of hipsters and I live in Brooklyn, New York — hipster nation. I would say it’s a great spot for people watching — even indoors.

I came here for round 2 drinking with my friends. I was pretty buzzed so I don’t remember much but all I remember was that it was super crowded. Ummm. I do remember that drinks here were fairly cheap because we ordered a platter of prosciutto and cheese, everyone got a drink and we got a bottle of fragolino. and we paid around 10 euros each.

This area of Milan(Brera) was probably my favourite, not more than a 5 minute walk North of the Duomo. If all you love is eating, drinking and shopping(which is pretty much all you can do in Milan) then this is the district you have to try and find. Brera is a labyrinth of back streets and cobbled roads for you to explore, each one holding its own little secrets. More than once you may find yourself wandering down a familiar main road and suddenly come across a tiny alleyway that you swore wasn’t there before. And anywhere you go you’ll never be more than 10 feet away from some sort of bar/café/restaurant. Bar Brera is just one of them. In truth it’s nothing more special than any of the others really. But it’s the only name i could remember. This really is the perfect place to wile away the hours with a few cups of coffee, the occasional pastry or sandwich, and hang around until it becomes ad acceptable time of day to purchase a bottle of local wine(Hell of a lot cheaper than the beer) and then step into a restaurant for a delicious 3 course meal with complimentary aperifs. Try the Milanese risotto. That’s a law for any foreigner.
