I stop here every day when living in Milan, about 3 – 4 months of the year. Their variety and quality of their bread what makes this shop 5 stars. They also have a variety of prepared foods, including many kinds of pizza, sandwiches as well as cakes, pastries and other sweet things. The recent renovation doubled the size of the store; one side is now for morning coffee & brioche and for lunch plates, the other side is for over the counter purchases, much like in a bakery. Lunch plates are reasonably priced from 6 Euro to 10 Euro for everything on a plate … the plain breads are not too expensive and sold by weight … but the other prepared foods and cakes will burn a hole in your pocket. I can easily drop 25 Euro here if I buy prepared things for a lunch for 4, but plain bread for 4 can be just 2 Euro. Try the flat Piastra bread as well as the small round Bocconcinni.
