This will be the first hotel review I write on Unilocal as I usually only do restaurant reviews. However, when I arrived last night the staff were so friendly and helpful that I was inspired to open the App this morning and write a positive review. The rooms are old, designed in the 70’s style in a way that you almost expect Austin Powers to jump out of the closet. But the rooms are also spotlessly clean and smell nice — which is important. Clean, and a product of the 1970s, just like me.

Both tram #12& #14 can bring you to close proximity to this hotel. And both lines stop by Duomo. If you don’t mind taking the tram, actually give you a chance to explore the moth & Northwest neighborhoods of Milan, a little bit out of the usual touristic area. We found it interesting and refreshing to visit what the ordinary people does and how they live. Hotel itself is up to the Hilton’s standard. Front desk staff are very welcoming. The front desk also sell the tram tickets for cash payment only. Free shuttle to airport bus stop. The airport shuttle is € 10/pp and € 16/for 2pp.

This hotel is in the Certosa neighborhood of Milan. It takes a € 20 taxi ride from Milano Centrale station. The hotel does provide shuttle service to the Certosa metro stop. Also the #12 tram is around the corner and takes you directly to the Duomo, in approx 35 min. The free shuttle also takes you to the stop for the airport bus(€ 10). The hotel is new and the surrounding area looks like it’s starting to revitalize but it is kinda dingy. The fact that we are away from tourist areas does however provide excellent eateries within walking distance, notably l’immagine Bistrot. The hotel itself is somewhat new. Attractive lobby, bar and dining area. Drinks are good but expensive. Food is sub-par. However the breakfast buffet was good. Because of our status with Hilton breakfast was included, I don’t know how much it would cost. The Waitstaff seem to be annoyed most of the time. Luca at the front desk is great. He speaks English and is very courteous and helpful. I did have an issue with another gentleman at the desk regarding transportation. But I write that off to the language barrier. However he did direct me to the incorrect train station and did not tell me the Taxi meter was running when our’s had arrived while finishing breakfast.(I would have waited to call for a cab had I known it was coming that soon. He said it would take longer) The rooms are Hilton quality and the Beds were the most comfortable of my entire trip throughout Italy. Overall, If you are planning on staying near the Duomo this hotel is out of the way, but the rates may make it a good choice if you don’t mind taking public transit.

Fairly new, clean and modern location. The area is more commercial(Bayer and other corporate offices are on the same street,) but there’s construction going on across and will likely make it livelier. The staff is very friendly. Most speak sufficient English to carry a conversation, but if you have any issues you can easily whip out your phone and use a translator. The wi-fi is reliable and high speed. The bar & restaurant are a nice addition. The prices at the bar aren’t the best, but that’s to be expected for a bar inside of a hotel. Housekeeping is excellent. I kept the«not now» door card on for most of the morning and afternoon and stepped out for about an hour. Somehow during that time housekeeping did everything that they needed to do. We ventured off in the middle of the night around the streets surrounding the hotel and the area is calm. I look forward to returning to this Hilton location.

Know this hotel is more in the surrounding area of Milan and you will be just fine. We grabbed a cab from the train station(we attempted to do the trolleys during rush hour — too ambitious!). The hotel was across the street from a building under construction, once finished it should spice the area up a bit. The hotel was very helpful offering us places to walk to for dinner. We went to the I’mmagine Bistro which was marvelous!!! The room was on the members floor, nicely decorated and very pleasant. The bar area is a great area to chat with other travelers and of course there is the tasty warm cookie upon arrival!

Room, Hotel and Property is clean and New. This property is out of the way, location is not convenient. I did not use the restaurant but they seemed ok. There are a few restaurants in the area if you prefer cheaper options as the restaurant was expensive. What ruined my stay was that one of the front desk agents, who barely speaks english(Front end Hilton employees need to speak english, no excuses) sold me a tram ticket for the BUSTOAIRPORT, which he clearly knew i was taking, we even waited for the hotel shuttle to to take us to the bus stop” with large luggage. Ultimately screwed up our morning, we couldn’t board the 2 busses as we used all our cash after purchasing the«bus ticket» on our hotel bill. BUSSESTOAIRPORTARECASHONLY. When i called the hotel, the employee barely understood what happened. DONTHIREEMPLOYEESTHATCANNOTCOMMUNICATEWITHYOURGUESTS. Really disappointed.
