I’m not sure the address is correct it is ½ block for the entrance for the Antares Hotel Acacademia(Viale Certosa, 68 — 20155 Milano). When I posted this I used the address on the receipt. Anyway, this placed looked divey and dicey. I walked past it one night in Milan after seeing a pizza called the Amercano, studded with fries as the first item on the pizza part of the menu. But alas it was going on 9pm and I was hungry on Day 2 in Milan. I ordered the Prosciutto and Buffalo Mozzarella antipasto plate, beer, and mineral water. I figured I’d order as I went along. Well the very accommodating and patient young waitress brought out the Antipasto with a cheese-less pizza round with tomato sauce. She said it was her gift to me. Very sweet. The Prosciutto and Mozzarella at this little joint that clearly does more delivery/takeout was better quality than anything I’ve ever had in the states. The pizza round — gift to me was really good — crisp bottom and crust with a satisfying chew. When I peaked over the counter I say an actual Wood burning pizza oven. I think my bill was was about 13 euros. Oh and the nice waitress brought my change with a little shot of chilled limoncello. Another offering and nice touch. Just goes to show you — look for the locals joints when traveling.
