Great place, amazing food and fresh. One of the best places I’ve been in Milan. Must try

Whenever I go on vacation, I look for a Argentine restaurant. I’ve been to Argentine restaurants in NYC, Miami, San Juan, PR, and now Milan. It’s the best skirt steak I’ve ever had. The steak is HUGE. They give you a bunch of small portions of sides like mash potatoes, fries, potato salad, and some purre. I’d definitely make a reservation. We were a little early for our 8PM reservation and there was only a few people there. By 8:30, it was FULL. I’d definitely recommend this place if you’re a steak lover, it’s a MUST.

Got to say, had a great crowd and atmosphere. Went by myself wanting to have a drink and a great dinner. The host let people cut in front of me and sat them before because there were more than 1(table for 2) ., tough luck I got pissed and left after waiting 45 minutes. The worst part I would had probably spent more than a table for 2. May give it a try next time.

Best steakhouse I’ve been to in any country — anywhere. We don’t speak Italian and they were still very friendly and provided excellent service. The steak(porterhouse) and rib were amazing. The rib may have ruined ribs for me everywhere else. Service was great and they are very, very kid friendly. All of this and they were very reasonably priced. This is a must if you’re in Milan.

Ugh, Porteño. I had such high expectations for you. I saw you full day after day when I looked out my apartment window – patrons willing to wait in sun, sleet, or rain to get some argentine beef. I saw the massive steaks passing to and fro as I walked past the floor-to-ceiling windows you have facing the pavement. I saw the wine cellar tucked in the middle of the restaurant, beckoning me with its Malbec. But alas, you disappointed. The chorizo was on the dry side. The empanadas were extraordinarily overpriced, especially given their so-so quality(€ 6…EACH). My Revuelto de Gramajo was fairly tasteless(and expensive at € 12 if you consider it’s just scrambled eggs), as was my friend’s sashimi. And the meat? Yes, it was great, but slightly cold. And not excellent in either taste or texture. Plus it took like 2 hours to come out of the kitchen – no exaggeration. It was an average Saturday night in Milan(with the respective crowds of diners) and the kitchen seemed to not be synchronized with the service. In the end, I thought it was an overpriced meal with some real potential. The wine and meat was good, but the side-dishes and appetizers were not. Service was off since they couldn’t handle the large number of diners. If I can give my own recommendation. try Don Juan close by. Same argentinian theme, but better prices, better empanadas and starters, and € 10 – 20 cheaper per head.

I love this place! Come here when you need some red meat! Very good quality! High level friendly staff service. Great steak place with a variety of different steak cuts. In the menu, they have a picture of a cow with all the different parts of the animal you can get. Lots of great wines, pick a Shiraz since it’s an Argentina restaurant. Everything I’ve gotten here including the wines are amazing. You must try an empanada to start! The steak comes in a warm plate with some sides of mashed potatoes, mashed sweet potato, potato wedges, and potato salad. It’s quite filling especially with the nice breads and sauces. So an order of the empanada and steak is more than enough! Happy eating!

Obviously when one is in Italy, one should dine on the local cuisine. However, even Italian food can get repetitive. So what do you do then. you come here. The food was simply delicious. This is an Argentinian steak house. They do meat well. We ordered the parilla for two, but there was enough food for three people. The meal started with a quad of homemade spreads and bread. While you try those delicious spreads, the cooks are in the back preparing your meat. And what delicious meat it is. They served the parilla on a cooking plate, which is laid along the side of the table. The parilla for two had pork sausage, beef ribs, pork fillets, and two different cuts of steak. The server expertly cuts the meat for you tableside, serves you, and leaves you to enjoy your meal. Coupled with the potato sides, which is part of the parilla experience, and bottle of red vino, you have a meal fit for a queen/king. On the table, they leave a trio of homemade sauces to accompany the steak. If you ask for A-1 sauce, this is not the place for you. For dessert we had the dulce de leche crepes. For those of you who have tried the dulce de leche in Argentina and love the super sweet, tan colored goodness, then you are in for a treat. The service is excellent. There are lots of staff to help you immediately. They all speak English. And if you know Spanish, you can speak to them in Spanish too. Maybe has something to do with the place being Argentinian, but it made my life easier. We arrived without reservations and we were accommodated. The décor is simple and casual. The walls are adorned with typical Argentinian items; for example, there is a wall of matcha tea drinking cups. If you notice, the restaurant is only open for dinner and only open for 4.5 hours of dining. What does that tell you… they know their food, they know their service, they know their worth. Only a place that takes their craft seriously, can maintain being open for such short hours every day.

Typical argentinian steak restaurant, good service and elegant atmosphere. Dinner for two is cool here, great meat and I tried a good red wine from Argentina that the maitre suggested me and I really enjoyed it
