Was super lucky to find this grocery store just a few short steps away from my hotel. On a Saturday evening, this place was packed! I was shocked at how many people were moving through this store with their carts and baskets completely overloaded with food. I mean, completely overloaded with food — I’m surprised there was even food left on the shelves! People had tons of milk and meats, and produce — — was there a snowmaggedeon about to hit Milano or something? :) So I left and came back a bit later around 7:00, to let the crowd die down — — to which it did. But for my flight back to the States, I loaded up on a bunch of Italian chocolates(love my Nocciola!), some Italian jams, cookies and biscuits, and a bunch of vino! And holy crap — — their prices were awesome on the wine! I found a bottle here that I like(can’t get in the States) for 9.50EUR — previously the same bottle was 19EUR at at wine boutique store. Score!!! But they even had some other really good wines on sale — - like only 3EUR. So stock up here for sure. Bring your own shopping bags, at least — — that’s what the Italians do too. My line went fast — –the clerk was friendly. Oh, oh — — and I even scored some Espresso capsules that will fit my Nespresso machine too. The brand was Caffe Vergnano 1882 — — double score!
