Duomo Gelatieri dal 1952 is about a 10 minute walk from Milano Centrale. It is situated in a nice neighborhood lined with apartment buildings. This is where the locals get their gelato. The shop is modern and the gelato is kept in those silver tins. We chose a hazelnut gelato and a peach sorbet. They served it in a tall cone. It was absolutely delicious, light, and refreshing. The staff speaks primarily Italian and it was a bit intimidating trying to ask for two flavors in a cone. But they were very nice and we were able to understand each other. Here’s a tip: pointing and reading go a long way.

Really good cookies here! Try almond or pistachio. Guy behind the counter spoke fluent English which was comforting to me, as my Italian is not that extensive. I believe it cost 1 € per cookie, which is the average price around this area, if not cheaper.
