«THE GRAN DUCA SETS THE BAR FOR HOSPITALITY!!!»
Our small group of 12 stayed at the Gran Duca di York at the end of June and were throughly impressed!!! The hotel was wonderful, the rooms bright & clean, the bathrooms large & colorful, the staff polite, professional, compassionate, helpful and fun loving!!! The quiet location is incredible, just a 5 minute stroll to The Duomo, and The Galleria…
An incredible value for a boutique property of this quality with a truly professional staff, smack dab in the middle of the historic center!!!
Barbara who checked us in did an outstanding job of handling 12 hot & tired people arriving all at once… and she even mapped out detailed directions across the city to return all our rental cars… And Marco recommended a fabulous ristorante, just a 3 minute walk from the hotel where we were treated wonderfully to an amazing meal…
They even graciously accommodated our early departure with special arrangements for coffee and croissants at the bar… I give The Gran Duca and their staff my highest recommendations!!!

This hotel is by no means a luxury hotel. Price is high even during low season but considering this is Milan 150 euros a night for a standard double may be justified. Breakfast spread has a wide selection but ingredients are certainly not the best. It’s great that minibar is free. Location is also very close to Duomo.
