The location is a few blocks away from the Metro, line M3. There are some restaurants and shops nearby, but it feels more like a residential area to me. The rooms are old, but clean and well lit. The shower is tiny — I can barely bend over to wash my legs or pick up soap(there’s no where to place your toiletries in the shower). The last hotel I stayed at in Rome also had a small shower. I think this is a trend. They offer free wifi here, no free breakfast. The large main doors lock at 11pm, so be sure to bring your room key as that unlocks it for you. Checkin ends at 10pm. Hotel staff is friendly and polite. A guy was knocking at our door, likely another guest, and my wife was nervous about answering it(there’s no peep hole at the door either). She called the front desk and they were helpful. Edit: Thin Walls…

The interior of the hotel building is very beautiful. All the building material, design were very nicely done. Our private bath looks new. The front desk was always very pleasant and helpful. The rate we had was pretty good considering it’s not far from Milan’s central district – € 85 – 90 per night. The room itself was really basic. No electrical kettle, no glasses, nada! Just a few minutes’ walk from the hotel you can take tram #24 to Duomo. But make sure you buy the tram ticket before hop on because the driver does not sell tickets. You can also walk about 10 minutes to Metro station taking«M3» to Milan center. There are many grocers and restaurants nearby with various ethnic food.

So I would really rate this 3.5 for a few reasons. First time visiting Milan so it was a good location. Only about a 15 minute from the main city so that’s a good thing. The hotel itself is pretty nice. You get free wifi which isn’t the best but hey, it’s wifi. I stayed there two nights and didn’t really have any problems. Good bathrooms, very nice people working there. You also get a 10% discount from two restaurants down the block. And in Italy, it’s all about the food.

I gave this hotel four stars because it was right for the price — in Milan that is. We paid around $ 100/night which is reasonable for Milan. Free wifi, elevator, air conditioning were all a must for us in Italy. The wifi worked pretty well for the most part. This was our first hotel for the trip and I was grateful for the hot shower and good water pressure after long hours of traveling. Front desk staff were helpful and very kind! They gave us 10% off to a couple different restaurants that were nearby. Probably 20 minute walk to the duomo. Would recommend a cab from the airport — it was around € 25 at 05:00 and would have been worth it after traveling all night and then getting lost trying to figure out the trains/buses to the hotel! Wouldn’t necessarily visit Milan again, but if I did, I’d have no problem staying at this hotel.
