Location is inconvenience, we spent an hour trying to find this place by using public transportation. They rated themselves a 3-star standard hotel just to charge you a fee when you check out; however, they are far from the other 3-star hotels my husband and I stayed in Italy, not to mention you’ll need to pay extra for wifi while all other hotels we stayed at offer free wifi. Even the restaurants and bars near by offer free wifi, we were using theirs. Their elevator was so small, can barely fit my husband and I in there so we took the stairs. Air conditioning was not working and the floor was wet, room was humid and the bathroom tub was disgusting! We felt like we were in some crappy motels. The outlets were not working so we were unable to charge our electronics; in the morning, we were trying to take shower but the bathroom light was unable to turn on. Customer service at the front desk was not impressed either; oh well, we paid and left as quickly as possible and found another hotel — NOT recommended!

SERVICENOTINCLUDED ! The Idea Hotel is neatly located close to the city centre, and its breakfast buffet is fairly decent. However, the hotel’s service is virtually non-existant, for which reason I recommend you take your business elsewhere. Why? Here’s why. First of all, the electronic key cards for our room repeatedly malfunctioned. We had them changed between five and ten times during our stay at the hotel. Needless to say, this was quite frustrating when returning home after a night out. Secondly, the personnel is downright lazy. Rude even. When for instance confronted with a malfunctioning, over-heating air-conditioning system, they refused to lift a finger and suggested we open a window instead. What the f??? Last but not least, the personnel gave us the wrong room — a much smaller version than the large one we booked. The manager then refused to refund the 80 Euros they owed us as a result of the mistake. Nonetheless, he «hoped to see us again soon»! Fat chance of that happening. My ranting could go on and on but I don’t see the point. Bottom line: Stay away from the Idea Hotel Corso Genova if you want value for money. Source: My friend and I stayed at the Idea Hotel Corso Genova in Milan from 25 October to 28 October. We both agree on the matter.
