La Hora Feliz

Walking in the area with a friend who just moved to Milan, we decided to have a drink so I could show her the ‘famous Milanese aperitivo’ and from the other reviews I decided to give this place a chance, plus, I had always come to the neighbouring bars but never to this one so it was worth a try… Well, not really, aperitivo now costs 11 euros from Wednesday to Sunday for the first drink, from the second on it costs ⁷⁄₈ — but this time I was (rarely) not in the mood for a second cocktail so 11 euros felt a bit too much, especially because the drink was neither large nor special (it’s difficult to make a bad spritz so when I don’t know the bartenders’ skills I go for a spritz).
The place inside and outside is anonymous, not even nice outdoor furniture. The food from the buffet: cold rice salad, greasy vegetables and pasta salad, some prosciutto, chips and some fruit, sure, there’s lots of it but some of it didn’t look nice and when I placed some of the vegetables in my dish, they were soaked in grease… perhaps it was a bad night for the food but I’m not sure if I’ll give the place another chance, I’d better stick with the neighbors.

La hora feliz pour un happy hour… justement.
Comme partout à Milan, on mange et on boit, le tout pour le prix d’un cocktail. Le fameux «aperitivo» ou «ape» comme disent les Milanais.
J’allais plus souvent au Yguana voisin, qui fait un aperitivo à tomber par terre, mais celui-​ci né m’a pas déçu. Mon Pimm’s était bon comme à Londres, le buffet était très riche et frais et il y avait un énoooorme plateau de fruits frais coupés en dés, ce qui tombait très bien en cette journée de canicule.

I’ve been here about twice.
The first time I went was really crowded so my friends and I had to eat on the streets.
The second time I went we actually got a table.
I remember the frozen daiquiris being really good but it was expensive.
The waiters weren’t so nice but oh well, it was crowded.
This place is really crowded on Friday and Saturday nights so it’s smart to make a reservation beforehand.

Ambiance cubaine au coeur de Milan !
Tout simplement génial ! Un grand choix de cocktail, une très bonne ambiance (le personnel est vraiment super sympa!), l’aperitivo super bon. Vraiment rien à dire, un des meilleurs bars ou je suis allée à Milan !

Bien pour l’Happy Hour
Je n’y suis allé que pour les Happy Hour, mais je trouve que pour 8000 lires, on a beaucoup de choix sur les amuse-​gueules et les cocktails. De plus, le quartier est calme, bien qu’assez fréquenté à cette heure-​là. Peut-​être auraient-​ils intérêt à se renouveler plus régulièrement sur le grignotage d’un jour à l’autre.
