This restaurant is off the main path of the Corso Sempione strip, which to me looked to be a bit touristy. La Posteria felt like more of a local place, especially since all of the people eating while I was there were clearly frequent diners at the restaurant. The owner was chatting with an elderly couple sitting by me like they were all old pals. The food itself was amazing, as was the house wine. I had a cheese plate to start, which came with honey and bread. For my main meal I had a pasta dish that had a spicy tomato sauce, which seemed like it would be pretty simple but tasted absolutely delicious. I didn’t have dessert, but there was something called«grandma’s cake» on the menu which sounds like it would be something homemade and fantastic, and I definitely plan on trying it next time. The owner is very friendly and takes the time to chat with all of the patrons while not seeming in-your-face at all. He even shook my hand and thanked me after my meal, and gave me his card and told me looked forward to seeing me again. And I will definitely be back!
