Just had a terrific pizza at this very friendly place. The service was very good and the food excellent. I would definitely go here again. We had a pizza marguerite and a mixed salad. Everything was delicious.

La Taverna was without a doubt the best pizza my girlfriend and I ate on the week long Italian leg of our Europe trip. You could smell the wood fired oven when you walked around the corner onto the street and the aroma of melting cheese. The place was full when we arrived around 8 30, and so we had to wait outside for a table to open up but it was definately worth the wait.
The service was prompt without making you feel rushed and very friendly. When we ordered, our waiter asked if we would like to try their fresh mozzarella appetizer, so we did. It came out, a huge ball of fresh mozzarella that oozed the whey when you cut into it, on top of a bunch of cherry tomatoes and olives. Back in Canada theres nothing even close to the flavour and freshness of that cheese. I ordered the Regina pizza which is mushrooms, ham and tomatoes, and she ordered one with what she thought would be prosciutto, but was just cooked ham. Both were delicious, more of the same mozzarella and the quality of the ingredients really made them stand out. The whole meal was really cheap, nothing on the menu cost more than € 9 except the wine, but the pizzas were huge.

Only 3 stars? But it was a great pizza, no doubts there! A good place to have a pizza for lunch, with a very wide variety of choices!
Price wise it hits the right balance, about 7 – 10 euros for a medium pizza.
We at 2pm and although the resto was quite packed we felt rushed and hurried along to finish (was still finishing the tomatoes and mozzarella salad when the waiter wanted to take the plate!)

Have been here three times now. I never knew that stuffed crust pizza was actually a real Italian dish before eating here. Every pizza I have tried has been great. The service is quick and friendly and the prices are very good. Highly recommend!

I ate there last night, and I really like it.
No line at all, we were seated right away downstairs. Place is ok, not too special, but the service is fast and polite. Pizza is excellent, one of the best I have ever eat Milano. It’s definitely a place to remember if you are in need of a good pizza! Family atmosphere, casual. Hands up!

Excellent pizza. Came here during lunch time and were some of the first ones in but it fills up fast. Ate downstairs in this really cool room. Wife got a regular margherita pizza and I got a calzone. HUGE PORTIONS. Both of the pizzas were very good but I didn’t come close to finishing mine. There was definitely a language barrier but the server tried his best. Definitely recommend this place.
