Where do I begin. We were famished and stopped at the first restaurant we saw. It happened to be this one. We were greeted by a non-Italian man(should have been a sign) and seated right away by a very friendly waitress. I ordered the caprese for our antipasto. The mozzarella was fine but the tomatoes were hard and bitter. At the same time, we were brought out a bread basket with 2 huge bottles of olive oil and balsamic vinegar. I was a little confused and wondered why they wouldn’t downsize the bottles. Onto our primi. I ordered the risotto milanese and my boyfriend ordered a pizza with sausage. His pizza was mediocre(tasted like a regular pizza from an American pizza shop, not like a delicious, authentic Italian pizza). My risotto was dreadful! I was so hungry that I had a few bites though and tried to make it seem like I ate some. The rice was hard, dry, and flavorless. In comparison, on my flight home I was served some risotto milanese and it was so much better than what I ordered here. Airplane food shouldn’t be better than restaurant food. I wish we would have just walked one more block. Had we, we would have probably had a delicious dinner since the place was packed with locals. We were 2 of the 4 people eating here. So sad.
