The windows look pretty, and the inside is like a pink explosion but this place failed to win me over, even if I’m easily won over by almost any place selling cupcakes.
Although it looks like «Barbie’s bakery and cake shop» (Mattel should really make this product), it has a cold atmosphere, I can’t put my finger on it but there’s something missing that could make this place cozier.
They only have a couple of cupcake varieties: vanilla or chocolate with few different toppings — nothing special, not even red velvet… We appreciated, however, the filling of the cupcakes, not many shops in town are this generous with the fillings and this helped improve the dry taste of the cake.
However, the service is terrible. The waitress came almost sighing to get our orders, with no menu it is hard to know what to order so we asked her for suggestions and her reply was just «everything’s good»… OK, but what is «everything»??? A bit more enthusiasm and friendliness (since you work in Barbie’s cake shop) would have been appreciated.
There’s a downstairs area that we didn’t see but it’s probably a children’s play area (since there were children’s screams coming from it…). Not sure I’ll be back because the cupcakes weren’t that good for me and the service was bad.
