During our visit to Milan we had dinner here 3 times. The truffle risotto was delicious, tagliatelle with arugula and Parmesan was excellent. Everything we tried was outstanding! The service by Nuccio and his team was second to none.

The food and service here was nice. My friends and I ended up eating inside the restaurant and the space was a bit cramped. It would have been nice to be seated in the front, but if I remember correctly, the front was already packed. There was a lower floor deep inside the restaurant with more space for customers to be seated at as well, so this place was fairly large enough to fit more customers. We were treated like every other customer even though we were obviously tourists. So I appreciated that. The waiter was polite and spoke enough English to take our orders and meet our needs. I decided to get a first and second dish ordering the tagliatelli pasta for my first and the risotto for my second. I believed I also ordered a glass of wine along with my meal as well. The pasta was well made and I would have been happy to come back just for that. I do wish the portions were a bit larger, but I probably would’ve have been too full for my risotto if that were the case. The risotto was also delicious, but I don’t think I would get it again since the plating didn’t really make the dish look desirable in anyway. That was more of an aesthetic critique, but the food was good. I finished off the meal with a shot of coffee and left the restaurant well satisfied. The price was a bit high, but I didn’t mind paying for the experience.

My husband dragged me out to dinner on our last night in Milan at 10pm, during my jet lag, but it was well worth it. Nabucco came highly recommended by our Milan tour guide, Giacamo and had wonderful reviews on Unilocal so we thought it was definitely worth a late night dinner. I will admit, it was not my favorite restaurant in Milan based on the 2 days and nights we were there, but it was definitely a place to go see. Located in the Brera district, a very charming upscale cobble stoned area filled with my nice shops, restaurants, and café shops, it was a nice and romantic place to see both during day and night. Luckily, there was no wait at 10pm and they even seated us outside under their heat lamps, so I was very comfortable. The waiter was not bad. He understood English just enough to take our order and joked with us too about my husband stealing too much food off of my plate, which we found funny. I ordered the typical Milanese fried pork with rocket salad(arugula) on top. It was HUGE and a little bland for my taste. I try to stay away from breaded foods but since I was in Milan, I really wanted to try a dish that was native to the city. Another native dish our tour guide recommended was the Bone Marrow with Milanese style Risotto which my husband ordered. Now THAT was delicious. The risotto had so much nice saffron style flavor and mushrooms that complimented and bone marrow and meat, which was falling off the bone. Too bad we were both too tired and not really hungry enough to come close to finishing our meals. If we were, I’m sure this review would be a five star instead of four. Wish I could also tell you about the amazing looking cheesecake they had there, but we didn’t try it. Hopefully next time!

Went with friends about a week ago. Dinner was excellent and a very reasonable value for Milan. Pasta dishes and the cotaletto shined. I had the pasta Di mare which was perfect. Anti pastas were also great, burrito, caprese’s and grilled vegetables. Our waiter Pietro was great. We will definitely be back.

Fabulous from start to finish. Sea bass perfectly done. The pasta with eggplant some of the most delicious bites ever. Had it in another place next night and it was so pedestrian by comparison. Nabucco was fabulous. Service. Atmosphere. Food. Wine. Grappa. Go. Perfecto.

While searching through Unilocal and Trip Advisor for the top dinner spot in Milan, Nabucco kept popping up as the 1st recommendation — so we gave it a shot! It’s located on a beautiful cobble stoned street right around the corner from Via Brera. We sat outside for dinner since the weather was behaving that night. Our waiter came over, blankly greeted us, gave us our menus and the WiFi password. Score. The whole experience was underwhelming. The food was bland — adding salt and pepper helped a little but not much. We had the bruschetta, spaghetti with scampi, grilled chicken breast and the lamb chops. For dessert, we had the crème brûlée and tiramisu — both good but nothing out of this world. Our waiter didn’t smile, wasn’t friendly, barely checked on us and just overall didn’t care if we were there or not. A 12% service charge was included so maybe that led to his lack of service. I wouldn’t recommend this spot especially with all the options in the Brera area.

Nabucco is a highly regarded restaurant in the Brera district of Milan, which came as a recommendation by my hotel’s concierge. It’s located in what Americans would call«the cut» or an alley way, but is actually a very narrow side street that also houses numerous other businesses. This is a classic Italian restaurant and that is quite evident from their décor on down. The space itself is relatively small, with dark color schemes and dim lighting. The service was professional, but I’m probably being generous. Some of the challenge was the language barrier as we were paired with the only staff member that spoke at least some functional English. A little bit of miscommunication occurred during ordering, but that’s par for the course. They can be a little aggressive with upselling though, as other Unilocalers have mentioned. Be careful about accepting the staff’s tasting offers without verifying if it’s complementary or not. Another thing for folks to be mindful of is the tight seating setup. That can lead to gawking, especially for younger tourists taking pictures(with the flash on) in a packed restaurant filled with older clientele. We tried the Carne Salada, Nabucco Mare, Spada Griglia, Gnocchi Sorrentina, Brasato Polenta, and Lasagne. The Carne Salada is beef carpaccio that is served on top of arugula and topped with a cream based tangy dressing. Huge dish that is large enough to share amongst 3 – 4 people. The beef was tender and flavorful. I wish the dressing had a little bit of heat to it, just for a flavor contrast. Good appetizer, although your doctor may disagree. The Nabucco Mare is a collection of different components that included octopus, potatoes, cherry tomatoes, pâté and zucchini flowers with ricotta cheese. The dish was on the average side. The octopus was cooked pretty well as it was a cross between tender and chewy. The other items were afterthoughts at best. I will say that the stuffed zucchini flowers are a great concept, but they were needed to do something to the them like grilling it because it was close to inedible for me. The Spada Griglia is a dish of grilled swordfish that comes with an assortment of veggies(zucchini, purple cabbage, potatoes). The focal point was the swordfish and it did not disappoint. Thick piece of fish that was nicely grilled, seasoned, moist and tender. The Gnocchi Sorrentina is potatoes dumplings served«Sorrentina style»(mozzarella, tomatoes sauce, oven-baked). Sadly, the dish was pretty average considering my excitement level was comparable to teenage girls at a Justin Bieber concert. The biggest issue was the gnocchi wasn’t really highlighted and instead was masked by the sauce. The gnocchi themselves didn’t wow and therefore couldn’t stand out. Brasato Polenta is basically a dish of braised beef with polenta. Very straightforward dish that was pretty average. The polenta was not particularly flavorful and the texture made me feel like it wasn’t cooked long enough. The beef was decent as it was relatively tender but also lacked a bit in the flavor department. The Lasagne is a traditional bolognese lasagna. Top three of the best lasagna dishes I’ve ever had(right there besides my mom’s and Allison’s Restaurant in Crofton, MD). I think the best thing about this dish is the balance amongst all the layers of flavor. It’s very cheesy, which fits my preferences, as well as a great sauce that was sweet with some acid that creeps up in the end. The star of the meal by far. Overall, Nabucco is fine restaurant, especially if you order the right dishes. The menu is extensive and so predictably not every dish is going to be great. It is pricey though(around($ 200) so going with the popular dishes would be smart. Buon appetito!

The price was a hundred euro for two small appetizers and two meals no wine there was a 7 euro charge for linens and then another service charge for bread and then on top of it the waiter told us that a 10 percent service charge was for the restaurant and that we had to leave him a tip. I would not recommend it. The risotto was mushy and over cooked.

We went there on a monday evening and had a nice dinner for 2. Starter: Mixed Sea Plate, of which all things tasted really good. Main courses: entrecôte with black truffes and tagliatelle with truffes. The tiramisu for dessert was delicious and the recommended Grappa was a nice finish of the evening. All in all a good and recommendable restaurant!

The food was great. I got the zucchini flowers and spaghetti with sea fruits(which was basically frutti di mare). My husband ordered spaghetti carbonara(not that good, tasted like Mac and cheese.) The bad thing about this place was that when we were seated they had offered a small glass of champagne and made it seem complementary(which it was not). They didn’t ask of we wanted it they just poured it like it without asking. It ended up being 3 euros each. Over all, the food good just refuse the champagne.

Not sure what this fuss is about. This place is a tourist trap. Packed house, glacial service(a dirty plate sat in front of me for 15 minutes), and overpriced(15 euro appetizers, 10% service fee). Don’t get me wrong — the food was pretty good — but not special. It should have cost half as much. I don’t know what’s up with the other reviews; maybe this place has gotten more commercialized. And far from being«off the beaten path», as another review mentions, this whole street was full of tourists eating at restaurants that seemed quite similar to this one.

Nabucco is a wonderful restaurant with absolutely amazing food. The bread was nice and I liked the one with the olive. Olive bread+olive oil+balsamic vinegar+black pepper=YUMS! The kitchen was closing so we could only get one dish. I opted for the pasta dish of tagliattelle with portabello mushrooms(very fresh tasting and delicious) and my bf got the angus beef. The steak was rare-medium rare and it was perfectly tender, but not too rare. We decided to treat ourselves to a nice lunch in Milano and was so pleased with our food that we came out of the restaurant with a full stomach and a big smile too! Now… all we have to do is wait for a little while before we grab some gelato!

Visted this restaurant after reading some reviews on trip advisor, we were not disappointed, it’s a very nice restaurant in the Brera aerea in Milano, good service, great food, great atmosphere and ambiance. Try the zucchini flowers or Sea bass gratin with prawns, and the very nice biological white whine(pinot grigio) from the reagion. Have Fun!

The Via Fiori Chiari is a great narrow alley like street to walk down and it is filled with stores and restaurants. The hotel recommended this restaurant and when I saw which street it was one I was worried as it was one of the many touristic focused restaurants on this street. I was impressed by how well this place utilized the narrow space they had. Their was one room after another, and even another room downstairs by the bathrooms. Even though this place was touristic the food was fantastic. It is definitely a more expensive Milan restaurant, but every bite was delicious. I would definitely call in advance to reserve a spot. If you do go, definitely ask for Vincenzo, who was our server and gave the experience an extra 1 ½ star rating from me. He was probably one of the best servers I have had. I trusted my meal options in the hands of Vincenzo. Every recommendation was perfect, and his wine pairings were spot on.

SUPER!!!
