The Stock Exchange Square is a quiet square a couple of blocks away from Cordusio square. It is becoming famous as the«Finger square» due to the sculpture L.O.V.E. by weird Italian artist Cattelan. The sculpture is a hand with all fingers cut, except for the middle one. Placed just in front of the building called Palazzo Mezzanotte, which hosts the Stock Exchange(now mostly used for IPO launches and finance related events since transactions are now informatized) after the last financial crisis it seems to give the finger to finance and bankers. I like the quietness of the square, away from the crowds of the nearby Duomo and Cordusio squares, there’s not many people around at lunch time so you can enjoy a sandwich sitting under the shadow of the finger. Although I prefer the building by night when it’s lit up, it can be too quiet since the area is completely empty. I’m not giving it 5 stars because the square is missing a good bar or a place to grab a bite.
