Piccolo Teatro Grassi is one of the three theaters operated by The Piccolo Teatro della Citta di Milano(The Little Theatre of the City of Milan). It is named for Paolo Grassi, one of the theater’s founders. I wasn’t able to attend a performance in the theatre, but did attend a performance for children, in the building courtyard. The actors and staging were wonderful, and the children laughed uproariously. Five Stars. As an aside: There is a very sobering plaque on the outside wall of Piccolo Teatro Grassi, that roughly translates from Italian: «HEREBETWEEN September 8, 1943 April 25, 1945ANDNOWHAVEFOUNDTHETORTUREANDDEATHHUNDREDSOFFREEDOMFIGHTERSOFPRISONERSOFFASCISTI LITTLETHEATREHASMADETHISEDIFICIOUNCENTERAND A SYMBOLOFREBIRTHOFCULTURALANDDEMOCRATICLIFEOFMILAN» Thank You, Google Translate!, and Thank You, Piccolo Teatro della Citta di Milano.
