Very fun, very crowded and very good food. I loved the owner handing out the champaign and bread in the street as we waited. This is a lively hot spot in the city.

This was the perfect place to come after a flight and a long bus ride. What am awesome concept where you are greeted at the door with prosecco and pizza! My boyfriend was very happy about that and the place was so friendly and local. The menu is limited, but everything they make is very authentic. If you want a good Milano experience, go here for sure!

Excellent pizza and free glass of champagne and small appetizer when you enter. Service was fast. Prices are a little high(€ 7 for a margherita, € 9 for a caprese). They also add on a service fee so I guess the appetizer isn’t really free… Anyway, the pizza was delicious!

There will always be someone here who speaks English. Right when we walk in they give us an appetizer with some champagne – fantastic! After we were seated the waitress was very friendly. Normally in America where people normally serve water for free, however, most of the restaurants in Italy will give you bottled water if that’s what you request to drink. We ordered the margarita pizza – it was a very good thin crust pizza.

I really loved this place. There is always a line, but that is part of the fun & charm. In line, they provide you with a complimentary glass of sparkling wine, which was good enough to inspire me to order a bottle at the table. They also provide you with a complimentary appetizer while you wait in line. The pizza is quite different from what you get in America. The toppings are extremely fresh — so much so that some of the toppings are uncooked and cold(e.g., the delicious clumps of mozzarella and tomatoes that come on the popular caprese pizza). The pizza is not sliced and must be eaten with a knife & fork. It is not drenched in cheap, processed mozzarella cheese like you find in the U.S. Upon our departure, the owner grabbed us and directed us to the bar and said«drink until you want no more». Just an amazing experience. The food & wine were extremely affordable(especially when you consider the frills included in your experience). A must-visit in a city not really known for its food.

The pizza is amazing and I had a wonderful experience. I can’t say enough about our host Maro. He took care of us and even provided champagne while we waited for our table. He also gave us some advice on where to go during our stay in Milan which was very helpful. This is a great place to check out for authentic Italian pizza, I highly recommend the margarita. It is simple and delicious. I would highly recommend and I will definitely go back next time I’m in Milan

The restaurant is a strong OK but it was not what I expected from the other comments. I feel that the service and greetings with small pizzerinas and champagne is the best side of the restaurant. When you come it, a very colourful mustachio guy greets you in Italian, presents you with a pizzerina and a champagne glass. I order a beer(always tasty), and a pizza. It was very ok but not really my kind of taste and composition. It was however quite different what I am used to so always a nice addition to my pizza experience. Minuses: not a lot of space and lack of international menu — if you do not know Italian you need to rely on waitresses to explain it to you.

I was recommended this pizza place by a friend and was not disappointed. I eventually came back with a dear Neapolitan friend to corroborate my enthusiastic review, and got the thumb up: this is what pizza should taste like. True, there are different types across the Italian peninsula, what they call pizza in Genova is different from what they offer in Rome, but this is a true Neapolitan pizza, supposedly the original one dedicated to Regina Margherita. I echo what other wrote here before me: «on the fly» appetizers and drinks are on the house, you sit, order your favorite pizza and you’re good to go. Just the original, authentic flavors, no exotic toppings, no fancy menu, few options, all delicious. And note: the Margherita is NOT made with Buffalo mozzarella, otherwise it would get too soggy. Trust the guys at Pizza AM, and don’t bother to ask. Now, this place gets crowded pretty soon(no reservations), so I would recommend coming in early(around 7:45pm) or late(after 10pm), otherwise you’ll wait in line like everyone else. The whole concept is so simple that the turnover is fast, which is good for you, and good for the owners: excellent business model and a lot of happy customers. On the downside, no real dessert options. How does this compare to, say, Sorbillo? I think they’re both excellent, Sorbillo is a bit pricier and offers more options. I’d be hard pressed to declare a winner, I think for a quick dinner on the fly I’d go for Pizza AM, for a more relaxed evening I’d choose Sorbillo.

Pizza AM is a fantastic restaurant. The indoor décor is humble yet vibrant. The atmosphere, even later in the day, is electric. The waiters and servers are very courteous, and have fun personalities. The chefs are artisans and they display their skills in front of the dining rooms. The brick oven is displayed behind the counter and constantly beautiful pizzas come in and out, perfectly cooked. There is no timer, they take it out on instinct. The food was spectacular, especially the margarita pizza we had. By far the best pizza I’ve ever had. This place is awesome and is worth a visit(also only took 10 min for pizza to come out and we were immediately seated while the restaurant was buzzing and«full»).

Friendly and welcoming restaurant, right on you entry is served with a mini pizza as an appetizer and a glass of wine to await the arrival of your order to the table. In the end you are served with a shot of a sweet licor. The pizza is thin, light and well-stocked. Perfect !!!

Well worth the wait. Just a few pizzas to choose from, less is more. The emphasis here is on the best possible dough and the highest quality ingredients. One of the best meals, and for sure the best value in Milan.

My wife picked this place and told me she made reservations. After reading the reviews, I said they don’t take reservations. Guess who won the argument, ME! The place is about 5 minutes walk from the subway stop. There was a line out the door at 8PM and told us it would be about 20 minutes. In the meantime, they handed out free drinks and appetizers. I can’t think of any other place that I’ve been to that does that, score! The menu is all in Italian so bring your translator app if you need one. I was quite happy with the pizza I ordered but my wife had no idea she ordered a tomato pizza. She dislikes tomatoes so I ended up having to share my pizza. At the end of the meal, they gave us free dessert drinks and poured me another one as I left. The service was really good and they are baby friendly! And the pizza was phenomenal! ‘

There’s always a wait at Pizza AM – and for good reason. Well, to start, they don’t take reservations. To finish, their food is fantastic! While you wait you receive a glass of spumante and some panzerotto so you don’t get bored. When you walk in you see the pizzaiolo workin’ his magic at the wood-fired brick oven. And then comes the pizza: fresh, with only a small selection of the best combinations, all made with ingredients that are meticulously sourced. Can’t wait to go back!

Phenomenal. The combination of the pizzaiolo who has won a bunch of awards and the front of house staff giving away slices of calzone and liquori after the meal wins. There were a bunch of people in line so I asked for pizza to go. By the time my pizza was ready, they asked me if I wanted to stay because they had an empty table upstairs. Above and beyond the call of duty.

…unless you go to Napoli, you’re not going to find a better pizza on the planet. They have champagne and bite size bits of Italian happiness for free while you wait for your table. The atmosphere is great. Not only does the pizza change your perspective of what good is, the staff make you feel like you’re eating at your grandparents house on Christmas.

They greeted us with glasses of champagne. The staff were friendly. The décor had a Keith Haring vibe to it and the pizza was fresh and delicious. As we were leaving they offered us a shot of sweet liqueur. Fantastic place also the men are cute.

On commande.
