My search for the perfect Milano burger continues… and Polpa sorta dissapoints. The design is great (raw wooden floors, knick-​knacks and exotic beers displayed everywhere), the service is friendly, and the concept is well executed. But the food, sadly, is not up to par and it is expensive! Seriously, we ordered 2 burgers, 2 fries, and 2 cokes and the bill was € 34. FML. For 2 friggin’ burgers!
And I was expecting excellent burgers – instead they were just OK. My brother’s was a vegeterian one topped with some shredded white cheese, but it was way dry. They gotta re-​do the recipe for the veggie patty. And mi regular beef burger with gorgonzola cheese and fried onions was good but not great. The bread sucks and the beef was not properly seared. It’s not difficult to make a great burger, but you gotta get the details down.
Everything about this place is really good except the food itself, which was just meh.

Bluemont, VA
Nice place (a little bit noisy), good food and friendly service. Price is worth the food while drinking is little bit expensive. Anyway a place to try ;-)
