Perfect café with great pizza and pastries at Italian prices! Best quick pick up meal in Milan for under 10 euros a person!

I had several times at Princi. The bakery is well designed and the products are tasty. I had there some kind of croissant, coffee and juice variety. Don’t back without it from Milano.

I was looking for someplace quick near the Duomo. This place had a lot of nice options — paninis and pizza. The place was clean. The cafeteria style set up was prefect for that quick bite and the pizza was pretty decent. Oh, the person who served me was friendly– no problem with my English speaking and my one word response of «gratzie». :)

Our hotel is next to the Duomo and this bakery was just a few blocks away. Decent sized lines on a Sunday morning but it moved pretty quickly. Had the focaccia, cheese focaccia, croissants, and some pastry with chocolate. Food was really good, staff was friendly. Great spot.

It’s a nice stop to take a break and have a light lunch and snacks. Like the olive stick and focaccia with eggplants. Did not try any sweet here at the hot summer weather.

Went to Peck first and came to this joint after checking in to the hotel. Good prices for each dish. You get to sit around the counter and check out what others were having. I would come here again for a quick lunch.

The central location very close to the Duomo makes this Principle bakery caffe a winner for me. I stopped to visit the Duomo today and afterwards I needed something sweet for a snack. I remembered passing this shop the last time I was in the neighborhood and went in. The pastries looked tempting but the assortment of tortes, cheesecake, cookies was dazzling. They also have Tiramisu and donuts filled with zabaglione. You could get a hot beverage and sit at the banquette. There is even incense burning towards the back of the caffe… very chill. Love the Princi food(!) and look forward to the next visit.

While visiting in Milan we accidentally came across this place and ended up having breakfast here everyday for the rest of our trip. We tried both the savory and sweet items on the menu and all were amazing! All breads and sweets are freshly baked in a wood burning oven. They offer two bite pizzas for breakfast and focaccia breads with all kinds of toppings and chocolate brioche and a large variety or baked goods for those with a sweet tooth. It does get busy, so I would recommend that anyone in line, speaks up when they get to the front. Usually the person taking the order will initiate the start of the order by saying«prego». We visited the location in the center of Milan, many Italians at the stores or restaurants spoke English.

Fell in love with this joint. Maybe it was just because I was REALLY hungry. The moment I walked in my mouth was salivating. Could have seriously ordered the whole store. The food here is just fantabulous. Both the savouries and the sweets. I am also a big fan of the décor and layout. The stone wall provides a rustic feel while the counter stretches the whole length of the store providing ample opportunity to view the delights on offer. This place was quite packed, but service still seemed to move quite quickly. I didn’t experience any prejudice as per one of the other reviews, but we had an Italian friend doing the ordering, so can’t really comment on this. The hustle and bustle only serves to prove the quality of the food this place puts out. I’m lucky I don’t live in Milan because I’m sure this place would make my pockets quite empty.

The food here is amazing but I think they are racist or their ordering system sucks big time — went twice and both times got passed over whilst waiting to be served for a local. The first time we waited 15 min to order and the store wasn’t even busy. The second time, when we were clearly the next waiting to be served and an Italian cut in front of us and got served, we walked out. The food certainly looks spectacular but there are plenty of other great options around this area which I would gladly take to avoid a repeat of the 2 bad experiences I had.

Popular lunch place among the locals, and me. Along the right site of the rectangle shaped«bakery» you can find a large variety of food, including focaccia, pizza, warm dishes, bread, cakes and pastries. To let the food flow you can buy whatever drink you want, whether it is an espresso(€ 0.90) or a cocktail(sorry, but I still haven’t went with the cocktail so I can’t share many insights on their quality…). As the place can be a bit hectic, don’t go here for a long-dining, but since the general level of the food leaves no one to complain, I would recommend this place to anyone asking! Expect to pay € 4 – 7 to get full.

During lunch time this restaurant /bakery usually is stuffed with locals demanding their lunch(even in August). It can be a good choice for an espresso(€ 0,90), cappuccino(€ 1,30) or for a bite: first dish(e.g. risotto) € 6, pizza, focaccia are sold by kg, but a slice is around € 4. It is a great place if you are around Duomo, but don’t want to hit the McDonald’s, on the other hand you are dying for something fast.
