LOOK NO FURTHER… this store is your next HOT SPOT in town.
When you enter you know immediately that the true king is the processing and the cheese making (which you can see through the windows to the cheese atelier…)
The ladies are always running around like headless chickens but are efficient, always in a good mood and willing to answer each and all questions, gladly handing you samples of what you will surely end up buying anyways…
The price? I follow the rule that good, tasty and proudly hand made products do come with a price tag… but, believe me, 20 € will buy you quite the ammount of cheese heaven…
So, hop on line 50, navigate your way through via Lorenteggio, hop off and walk briefly through Via Tolstoj and ENJOY your cheese.
Only problem? If you drive there, parking is just by chance… or … stop, hop off, run in, buy, run out and pray a vigile doesn’t happen to pass by when you are gone… oooops

So, what can I say about this place?
You can watch them make the mozzarella!
And it is good. Actually, everything I’ve tried here has been quite good.
The mozzarella from the Milan supermarkets doesn’t compare (but I have found some decent options).
This shop offers the first ricotta that I’ve liked in my whole life! Now I know what it is supposed to taste like. Maybe since I am from the US, you might think this is no big deal. Just to give you some perspective, my Italian friend who now lives in Paris told me this is the place for cheese. When she visits, this is where she has to shop.
No doubt there plenty of other good places in Milan. This one is definitely on the list and worth the trip.
