There is no way this place can have 4 or 5 stars. No way. At least looking at how’s the situation over there at the moment. Those 4⁄5 stars reviews are either really old or really fake. Hands down. I wouldn’t even define what they serve food. It’s just things stuffed on a plate and dropped on your table. Seriously this might have been the worst lunch ever in Milano. Bland, tasteless, no passion for food, no intention of making something even remotely appealing, zero attention to seasoning and flavors(they drop first and second course on one plate like pasta and steak). Yuck. And then you see how the place is kept and it makes you understand a lot of things. Service is questionable. Floor is dirty and the kitchen(that you can from the main dining room) is FILTHY. Clean up and respect both your food and your guests. This is the typical place that doesn’t give a damn about getting better because of its location: located close to countless companies. It will always have customers. Not me though. That’s for sure.

Nice restaurant not too far from the Melia Milan. Not too many tables but nicely decorated and nice old school restaurant vibe. Wasn’t busy at all on an early Tuesday evening. Staff spoke English which was helpful although they menu was in English as well. Pasta and pizza was on the menu along with desserts. I had the breaded veal which came with fries and the salami as a side dish. Bread and olive oil came with the food. The pasta pesto looked delicious as well.

We found Trattoria da Peppino on our way walking back to the hotel from a conference at the MiCO conference center and were pleasantly surprised. I had the multiple cheese based ravioli and my wife had spaghetti with clams. Both dishes were fine in amount, taste and texture. The waiter was very friendly and helped out a couple of non-Italian speakers to the best of his ability. The house red wine was acceptable. So while not a fancy venue it was just want we wanted at the time.
