We were decked up. Packed a suit and dress shoes to an otherwise cramped suitcase just for this place. A friend it was Michelin 3 but I looked and it was only Michelin 1 so I was a bit disappointed. We ordered the tasting menu along with the wine pairing. Service was phenomenal, no racism here. Even answered questions with a smile which is nice compared to some of the local restaurants. Wine came out with the food. Everything looked like art on a plate. Some were tasteful and others were just meh. Nothing jumped out at me unfortunately except for the bill. $ 420CAD… was it worth it? Sure… but not for $ 420 at a Michelin 1.

I must say, I had a great dinning experience at Vun. We ordered the tasting menu and added on an extra dish. I enjoyed majority of the dishes unlike other Michelin stars restaurants which some dishes would be a hit and others a miss. I would definitely revisit if I come back to Milan.

As other Unilocal reviewer has noted, be prepared to spend some time as this is pretty standard for any fine dining. This is pretty typical for any real fine dining, especially with tasting menus. Since menus will change from time to time, it’s harder to recommend a particular dish. I will say that the ahi drum was cooked to perfection. The top shoulder was also tender but a little too heavy on the sauce. The Venus clams pasta was a little salty but pretty typical compared to pasta served around Italy. It doesn’t seem to get too crowded but since each table is seated for quite some time, it’s always safe to get a reservation.

Overall our dinning experience at VUN was a good one. We had their tasting menu that includes around 8 different items of very well executed dishes. The service was good except towards the end when it profoundly slowed down, on one occasion we waited almost 30 mins between dishes, probably had to do something with the change in the shift of the waiter who was very obnoxious. Outside from that the dishes were well executed, some tasty, others were sub par. We spent about 3 and half hours here due to slow service, other people were there for longer than we were. VUN is a decent option for fine dinning while in Milan, hope others have a better experience than we had but just keep in mind to spend at least 3−4hrs there.
