Not buying the high Unilocal reviews. We came here wanting a break from Italian food and counted on the wonderful Unilocal reviews, but we walked away pretty disappointed. Let me explain. As far as décor goes, it has a nice dim-lit cozy atmosphere, but the food, portion size and prices fell way short of expectation. While our raw fish were fresh, it’s borderline ridiculously small portion size for the price we paid. Our bird’s nest crispy noodles touted five Japanese spices on the menu, but it was simply covered by the most basic brown sauce you’d find in the US. After our 10 day trip around Italy, Yokohama remained one of our biggest regrets of the trip considering we paid more than $ 60 euro between the two people and walked away hungry with flavorless food. Perhaps we didn’t order the right items on the menu, but given the high Unilocal reviews, shouldn’t every menu item be above average? Our experience spoke of a different tale. A cautionary tale.
