I arrived to hotel delfino around 7 to check in. The lobby is pretty small but the front desk people are really nice and helpful. I stayed in a room I shared with three friends which meant two in each bedroom. It was nice. The location at night is pretty quiet. There’s a bar next door but it wasn’t the greatest bar considering my friends and i were the only ones there. If you walk a little more, there is a bar but the location is great, only 15 minutes from Venice. Their breakfast layout was quite nice and they had cereal and traditional English breakfasts. Tea, coffee, espressos, and juice were also served. Their only downfall was their wifi which asked you to connect to it through Facebook and later posted to your Facebook. This is a good place to stay overall. I would recommend and would stay here whenever I’m in mestre.

We stayed here 1 night before a cruise. The room was basic, but clean. The breakfast buffet was adequate. The hotel restaurant did have a decent dinner and very friendly staff. There are several restaurants nearby, and a really nice coffee bar. There is also a local grocery store in the next block with an extensive inventory and reasonable prices. Everyone in Mestre was extremely helpful with providing directions and recommendations. The WIFI connection was pitiful. The«free» WIFI connection required access to your Facebook account, which I was unwilling to provide. Mestre is a very safe and walkable city. The city center is worth the walk. The most famous site is the medieval clock tower.

We stayed here on May 16, 2013 after a long day in Venice. Unfortunately that day there were high winds and flooded the island. We were not able to go on our gondola rides and the restaurant we ate at was flooded and everything pretty much smelled like sewer water. Everyone’s shoes/socks were soaked. So with that in mind, Hotel Delfino was our place of haven after that experience. We stayed on the same floor were they serve breakfast. I thought the layout of the hotel was really odd. It didn’t feel like a hotel at all walking through the long halls ways. If felt more like an apartment building? Anyway, there were 2 rooms in our little area. One to the left and one to the right. We entered our room and it was nice inside. It had a modern décor with wood flooring, dark brown wood furniture. It didn’t feel like a hotel. The beds are firm and had a decent bathroom. The positive about Hotel Delfino is that WiFi is FREE!!! Wow, this was the first hotel we stayed at(out of 7) that provided free WiFi in our room. The negatives about this hotel is definitely the layout and look and feel of it. When we looked outside our window, we were looking down into the parking lot and below us were the large garbage bins. Breakfast is also not good. The bread was hard, ham, salami, yogurt, cereal was not that great either. The croissants also are dry and already pre-filled with jam inside. Overall, it was just an OK stay here.
