It does not get much better than this! You walk in, order wonderful, fresh, local food at extremely reasonable prices and take it home to enjoy.
They have an abundance of Neapolitan favorites, including roasted chicken and potatoes, pastas, panino Napolitano, salsiccia e friarielli (sausage and broccoli rabe), polpette (meatballs), cotolette Milanese (breaded cutlet), and pizza fritta (fried pizza) just to name a few as well as contorni (vegetables) and dolci (sweets) to die for.
We ordered two giant meatballs (polpette), a fried pizza (pizza frita), an order of salsiccia e friarielli, and a side of peppers, coming to just € 10.50, eating like kings. The food is fresh and the service friendly and fast. If you are in or near Vomero, La Padella should not be missed as they are just a few blocks north of Stazione Medaglie D’Oro. You will not eat better at anywhere near the price. The only negative is that they are closed on Tuesdays.
