Great food and service. Definitely the place to stop by when you are in the area. One of the best restaurants that I visited so far.

Fried mozzarella appetizer… Amaze-balls! Waiter explained everything on menu, the best he could, so that we got exactly what we wanted.

Stopped by Pizza Margherita for a late 3pm lunch on a Thursday shortly after getting to Naples. Their lunch menu is a really good deal, the food is good, and the service is about what you’d expect based on the place(i.e., they don’t really give a damn about you but they’ll take your order and bring you your meals). On a sunny day, their outdoor seating makes for some good people-watching. It’s not the greatest view, giving onto the fairly busy Via Vannella Gaetani in front of the Villa Communale. But that also means a ton of amusing activity to follow along as you enjoy a glass of wine with your Neapolitan pizza. The lunch menu(on Thursday, at least) meant the two of us walked out with a 16 € total bill for bread, main dishes, desserts, waters, and 2 glasses of wine each, including tip. I’d probably recommend sticking to the pizzas over their other dishes; the salmon/pasta dish I got was pretty underwhelming, tasting more like canned salmon on top of previously-cooked dry pasta. Desserts were just the right size for a lunch after a full entrée. As far as the service, they mostly hung out in front of the restaurant, chain smoking, fixing one of the waiter’s cars, or chatting with basically everyone that walked by(seriously, these guys must know everyone in the city). Definitely not white-tablecloth service, but it was certainly entertaining to watch. If I was in the area for lunch, I’d probably stop by here again. With the right expectations regarding the service, it’s a solid 3-star establishment.
