Trattoria Biondo is definitely one of the better and more authentic moderately-priced trattorias in Palermo and the best meal I had in the city. Tucked away from the main drag from the Piazza Napolitano, it serves a variety of classic Sicilian seafood and noodle dishes. Ordered the prosciutto platter for antipasti followed by Sicilian eggplant pasta, a steak with truffle sauce and the swordfish for dinner. The prosciutto was aged well and extremely fresh! The pasta was well cooked(al dente) and the swordfish was also tasty. The staff speaks english and they have a decent house wine and a pretty terrific chocolate cake for dessert. The interior is cozy, warm and classic Sicilian. For a good meal in Palermo, I highly recommend Trattoria Biondo.
