If you’re in the mood for a change from the usual Umbrian fare then Tokyo will fit the bill nicely. It’s to be found down an unassuming alley behind the Universita dei Stranieri building, but once you’re inside it’s sophisticated black décor and happy smiles from the(admittedly Chinese) staff. We paid € 28/head for a full meal with sushi, main courses desserts and beer, but you could spend less — lunchtime set meals are € 12-€ 15, which has to be good value, given the preparation that goes into this type of food. All perfectly fresh and delicious, but the highlights for me were the seaweed salad and the shrimp tempura.
