Skip it. Way too many good options around to settle for this spot in my opinion. The service is was really bad and the food was tasteless.
My husband had the 4 course menu and I had grouper ravioli… all bland.
We had a bottle of wine; which was the only thing that saved dinner, luckily!

Very nice atmosphere. It’s located on a quiet street where there are no cars, only foot traffic. Located in the Jewish Ghetto and within walking distance from Rome’s city center.

The service was terrible. The food is just ok. If you’re looking for the ghetto experience, there are SO MANY other better places to go. This place was just terrible in their service and attention to the customer. I had lots of time, so I sat and watched this confused and uncaring staff just take advantage of their good location and willing tourists… I felt sad for every group of tourists who sat down. I wanted to whisper, go next door or across the street, it’s MUCH BETTER. This place, really the staff, need an overhaul. BOTH of the female waiters need more training or NEW JOBS, they’re awful! People were begging to submit their orders. Just an awful experience!

The food was pretty good, but we were charged for bread, even though not only did we not request it, we could not eat it (we are gluten free and they did not have any gluten free bread). Chutzpah!

One of my favorite moments in Rome was sitting in the shade of Ba’Ghetto’s patio with my husband, crunching on fried artichokes, lamb cigars and sharing spinach-​anchovy pie and fluffy bread.
After the chaos of the Colosseum and the intense eye of Appollo staring us down all through the Forum, the quiet crooked street and savory treats of this Ghetto restaurant were just what we needed.
Service was typical of Italy, a courteous negligence we came to greatly enjoy and appreciate (who knew you could actually lose track of time at a restaurant? Wouldn’t happen in the U.S.) but the white wine we tried to order never arrived (no wine takes this place down a star).

Recommended. The food is a nice experience, the combination of Jews and Italian cuisine unique. Do not miss carciofi alla giudia of course, and the crostata ai pistacchi was a real masterpiece. Cozy place and friendly stuff

We chose this restaurant because our first choice, Sora Margherita, was closed. We were pleasantly surprised by the fine lunch we had. Fried artichoke, fried zucchini flowers, fish. All very good and very good service. We enjoyed our few hours in Rome’s Jewish neighborhood very much.
